For those of you who don’t yet know her, Danielle Poff is one of our fave wedding photogs here at GWS. We’ve featured her beautiful work more times than we can count + her taste is always seriously spot-on. When we heard she was getting hitched herself, naturally we knew her celebration would for sure be a must-share!
She + her beau, Adam, wanted to plan their day based around their favorite things, and that meant forgoing elements that are sometimes synonymous with weddings. She tells us, Our inspiration came from the fact that we love antiquing, I love Free People, Adam loves wood working, and we just really like the unique, eclectic look. We have been shopping at antique stores and thrift stores for the last 3 years to collect all of the décor that you see on our tables. We really wanted our wedding to reflect us and not just “the wedding tradition.” We felt like things should be done because we wanted to do them, not because it was a wedding.
Big hive five to that! Thanks so much to Jen Rodriguez Photography, who documented this day just perfectly, and congrats to the newlyweds, Danielle + Adam!
Invite love + wedding ring envy…Oh, and Adam made his own wooden wedding ring. So rad, right?!
Danielle on her dress, I chose to wear a Free People dress instead of a real wedding dress because it was way more me. It was also cheaper, more unique and way easier to move in which was awesome!! I then let my bridesmaids each choose a Free People dress based on pre-selected ones I chose and it came together so well; I love the mismatched look.
Unfortunately Danielle’s dress is no longer available in blush, but for a bride wanting something truly different + unique, check out the same style in midnight blue! And take a flip through our guide to throwing a similar colorful boho wedding below:
LOVE Danielle’s vibrant bouquet by Twigss Floral Studio!
And how cute is their sweet pup, Sawyer?!
Each bouquet was wrapped in beautiful vintage ribbons + fabrics. A fun touch that added extra uniqueness to the florals.
Adam’s love for woodworking definitely came in handy with this amazing wedding backdrop!
Danielle + Adam’s dreamcatcher-inspired seating chart would be a fun DIY to recreate! We love that it’s not a super difficult project, but the end result is so stylish + impactful.
The tablescapes were designed using an eclectic mix of vintage finds. The Mexican blanket table runners + old California post cards were such fun touches.
And dinner was provide by Zest It Up. We are all about the buffet display, complete with mini dreamcatchers, cacti, and colorful linens!
My best friend Julia got up and rapped her speech to the tone of the fresh prince of bel air which was awesome enough. And then Adam’s mom and sister get up to do their speech, and they rap their speech to Too Short (my favorite rapper). These 2 speeches were for sure a highlight of the night because they were hilarious and so different then most speeches!
Obsessed with these fun confetti shots!

Do a first look and do family pictures before the ceremony so that you don’t have to have a cocktail hour and go straight into enjoying your reception with all of the people you love! We had a 5 hour reception and it let us be able to take pictures with so many people we wanted, get a good amount of sunset pictures of the two of us, and dance for over 2 hours. The biggest thing, do things because the two of you want to do them, not just because you think you should. A wedding is about the couple and should reflect that in every way!

“Oh…….wow………ohhhhhhh…..wow!!!” That’s what I was thinking the entire time I was scrolling through (and back up and down and back up) these photos. I would really never describe myself as someone who loves bohemian style, but this wedding is so boho-perfect that I may have just hopped on board. I love that this couple went against the norm and made their wedding the party of a lifetime. From the dress, to the sweet pup as part of the ceremony, to the fun and personal touches that brightened every aspect of the reception…this wedding couldn’t be more colorful and personal. I absolutely love the sparkler photo with Danielle and Adam kissing in the middle surrounded by friends and family…that one will definitely be a treasure for a lifetime.I am in love with this wedding!
