Chantelle Paige’s Dreamy Engagement Session

Who doesn’t love when you can incorporate your pets into a photoshoot? Especially when it’s your engagement photoshoot! Singer-songwriter, Chantelle Paige, and her now-husband, Coulter, brought their pooch + pig along with them, for these darling photos snapped by Ty French. Yup, you read that right: pet pig! (SO FUN!).

Chantelle tells us: Coulter had been acting so strange for the last week. I literally sat him down to make sure everything was okay days before he popped the question, (haha!). He and I, along with his mom and sister, are all in a group thread where we frequently chat, so I didn’t think anything when his sister had texted saying we were having a welcome home dinner for her. She’d just gotten back from working abroad for a few months.

Fast forward to Sunday, December 18th. Coulter left to go “work out,” came back home and we got ready to head to dinner together. His mom lives a few blocks from us and it was a pretty day so he said we’d just walk over to meet them… It was the longest walk EVER. 

I remember I kept having to repeat myself as he clearly wasn’t listening. He asked the same questions multiple times, and overall just seemed to be somewhere else.

Outfit #1

We started to approach the Lyon Street steps, which are a well-known location to locals in our neighborhood for their scenic view and numerous steps, ideal for tourists and joggers alike. However, instead of the usual joggers and people snapping photos, I saw candles. Coulter said, “Oh the Christmas carolers must be setting up!” I thought nothing of it, trusting that carolers were a “thing” in SF and as the local, he would know about their whereabouts. 

Don’t these two look snazzy?! For the first outfit, Coulter rocked a jacket from Guess, jeans from Rodd and Gunn, + kicks from Greats Shoes. Chantelle STUNNED in a Taluhlah gown.

As we continued talking about how excited I was to receive our mini pig that we had just decided to purchase, Coulter continued to half listen… As we made it to the candles, I realized they were shaped in a heart, right as Coulter turned me towards him. I honestly had no idea what he said, it all just felt like a blur of excitement…

What I do remember is him telling me, “14 years ago, I told you I loved you for the first time 2 blocks away from here.” (We had dated for a bit in high school, and he told me he loved me as he walked me to my car and then ran away)… I remember him saying, “I promise to love you forever,” and kneeling down on one knee, fiddling in his sock to pull out a box and then saying, “Will you marry me?” 

I was already in tears the second he had started talking… I jumped and hugged him, saying, “Of course!” We hugged and both cried in excitement as a crowd of people started clapping (his two best friends and sister had kindly asked tourists and local runners to hold off for a few minutes while a proposal happened, and most of them had waited around to witness it).

Outfit #2

For the second outfit, Chantelle was all about the florals. This dress is also by Taluhlah.

Coulter turns to me and asked, “You did say yes, right?” I laugh and told him, “Of course!” He replied, “Well, do you want the ring?”

It was still in the box, I’d completely forgotten that a ring traditionally seals the deal! So, my new fiancé slid a gorgeous engagement ring onto my left hand.
