After visiting the Amalfi Coast + Capri, designer Lisa of A Charming Fete was absolutely captivated (we don’t blame her!). Since her trip, she’s been dreaming of translating la dolce vita lifestyle and mood into an editorial with vibrant colors, mixed patterns, whimsical illustrations, Italian poetry, limoncello, and more! She absolutely *knew* she had to bring the essence of Italy to The Madison, in Ohio.
To do this, everything was brimming with bougainvillea (a personal fave), the prettiest yellow hues, and tons of Italian-inspired prints. Offsetting the bright + cheery colors, a bold cobalt blue was brought in, which made a gorgeous accent.

To set the overall tone for the day, a watercolor invitation suite was created — replete with lemon illustrations and funky tile patterns.
The Florals
More is MORE, in this case! Playing with all the bright colors and textures, Molly Taylor + Co. crafted wild + whimsical bouquets of ranunculus, lemons, freesia, and more.

The Drinks
Dig the look of the Italian-inspired tile, but don’t know where to a) find it or b) store a bar like this? Well, have you heard of stick on tiles? Yup, there’s a ton of Etsy vendors and shops that create gorgeous designs so you can DIY anything (bar, kitchen, bathroom, etc.)
Lisa shares: Our handsome waiter for a vintage pepper apron, reminiscent of something my Italian grandma used to wear! The bride wore a gorgeous Rue de Seine gown (which we all swooned over) and it had the most delicate with floral embroidery appliqué and off-the-shoulder details.
The Tablescape
Doesn’t this scene just feel like a magical garden oasis? The team created this eye-catching tablescape with the yellow Heather Taylor Home linen, paired with a blue cloth from La Tavola Linen. To top it all off, the table, cane chairs, and wood bar were brought in from Borrow Rentals.

They also tiled the top of the cake table — so fun! And isn’t this Wild Flour Bakery cake just the pinnacle of Italian design? We’re all about incorporating those stunning tile patterns!
