Shout-out to our ride or die, gang — I mean, bride or die! Fusing a bohemian aesthetic, with an edgier, rocker vibe, designer Kate Mellow of Bloom + Blueprint crafted some uber cool wedding inspo. Using prisms, iridescent accents, broken mirrors, and tons of geometric pieces, the day took on something sort of reminiscent of ‘60s-‘70s rock ’n’ roll.
Kate shares: We wanted a rocker vibe that had a retro feel. Leather linens, laser cut ceremony backdrops, pink pampas grass.. it all had a moody edgy feel that was also pretty! I was inspired by Priscilla Presley and the vintage vibes of Graceland. So I channeled desert vibes + Mid-Century modern pieces to create something seriously rad at the Mountain Shadows Resort in Arizona.

Houndstooth + geometric mirrored accents go together so perfectly in this invitation suite from Lola Lee Invitations. Don’t you think?
The Backdrop
HOLD THE PHONE! Isn’t this the coolest backdrop?!
To add to the rocker ’60s-’70s vibe, the bride donned a Rue de Seine gown from Lovely Bride, complete with fringe sleeves.
Pink pampas grass + a bouquet brimming with pinky neutral tones, along with ton of texture = Our JAM
Can we get a round of applause for Bloom + Blueprint?
The Tablescape
Dang! Fine Rentals did a dang fine job with all of these iridescent + metallic pieces.
The Sweet Treats
To top it all off, Sift Bakehouse AZ crafted an array of delicious goodies: a monochromatic textured cake, houndstooth + paint-splattered cookies, and even macarons!
Seriously LOVIN’ all those mirror accents + how the team wove them through the day.
This gets us thinking… there are probably quite a few rad DIYs that could be done with mirror fragments. We’d love to hear what you think in the comments below!

There was a lot of personality put into this wedding. It was quirky and chic. I love how people make a wedding their own by tying in different eras and styles together. And glass fragments, crystal, prisms etc are great in weddings. They can light, design or make a room look bigger.
Her ring is listed as “Rue De Seine” but I can’t find it anywhere! I neeeeed it!
Where was the backdrop from?
