Karli + Kevin met 5 years ago, working at the summer camp next door to her parents house. You could say that fateful summer was a magical one, as they grew closer + developed a friendship. Fast forward to 2018, where Kevin’s down on one knee at the end of the same lakeside dock. Romantic enough for you? Well, gear up, because we’ve got more romance in-store; along with incredible boho wedding vibes + wildflower inspiration (cue the giant, floral mandala)!

The Dress
Karli is a true boho goddess in her wedding dress from Rue De Seine. Turns out, finding the right dress wasn’t even difficult for her (and we can see why)! K told us a bit about finding her gown: Finding my dress was one of the easier parts of the process! I actually ended up picking the first dress I ever tried on at The Dress Theory. I had all my best friends there and they helped a ton!

Petals by Piper completely nailed the boho wildflower design! We’re especially loving all the silk dyed ribbon + wispy bluebells.
Ceremony on the Dock
The most memorable moment of the day (besides saying YES) was the deep breath we all took before the ceremony began. We felt so loved by every person there, and so supported and loved on the whole time. We have the best humans in our lives. Another top moment was having my parents' black lab, Oliver, walk us down the aisle - totally unplanned! He followed me and my dad down the lawn, and all the way out on to the dock where he then laid down and took a nap while we said our “I dos” — pretty much the best moment of my life.
As if this wedding couldn’t get any cooler, K + K’s bridal party sat in two boats at the end of the dock, respectfully.

Lakeside Reception on the Lawn
Can we just snuggle Ollie, who is sweetly snoozing through cocktail hour?
The most inviting, lakeside lounge was set up for guests at reception; as well as an intimate communal-style dinner arrangement.
Boho Wedding Vibes
My main advice is to let the experts do their thing! I was fortunate enough to have a florist and photographer that were best friends of mine, and I gave them full freedom to do + create however they wanted! Don’t get too wrapped up in doing things the “right” way; this is your wedding, your day and it can be whatever you want it to be! My number one tip always is to find a wedding planner to help you. Erika, from The Greatest Adventure Wed, was a lifesaver and we couldn’t have done it without her!
