Artsy Ultra Violet Wedding with DIY Geometric Details

Bright and Artsy Sausalito Wedding

You know you can expect a few fun creative touches when a couple decides to get married at an art center—and Michelle + Anthony certainly do not disappoint! With some planning help from Riley Loves Lulu, these two created a gorgeous day filled with ultra violet geometric shapes, lucite details, watercolor, and wild florals. Michelle filled us in on her main design inspiration:

Our venue, Headlands Center for the Arts, is a pair of artist-renovated army barracks with intricate stamped tin ceilings & lustrous original plaster walls. To compliment the beautiful venue, we wanted to keep our added decor fairly simple & modern. For the things that we did add, we were inspired by watercolor paintings and the colors and textures found in flowers and foliage.

Jerry Yoon Photographers captured all the photos from the day—let’s have a look, shall we?

Eothen created some incredible florals for the day, and we’re totally wild over this aisle over hang!

Each table had a different unique vessel to hold those vibrant, wild flowers.

Michelle created the signage by hand painting that amazing marbled design on lucite!

AND, she folded all of these paper geometric shapes for the welcome table. LOVE this.

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Piñatas! We had piñatas at our birthday parties, so we wanted to continue the tradition at our wedding. During cocktail hour, we rounded up all the kids to take turns hitting the piñata. It was a great way to get outside and to mingle with the guests in a more casual environment

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

Make your wedding your own: If you don't feel like having certain "traditional" elements, leave them out. Likewise, add whatever you feel would make you and your guests enjoy themselves. Don't stress over details. Guests won't know if you didn't have time to finish everything on your planning list.
