Did you catch part one of our Lake Como By the Lake Workshop editorials earlier today? If the villa inspiration is the stuff of fairy tales, this mountain elopement is more of an epic adventure: complete with a journey to the top, wild animals, and an insane view between Italy and Switzerland. Plus, we had so much fun seeing our Lovers Society x Green Wedding Shoes Phoenix gown take center stage and the groom’s style was simply on point.

If you think about traditional Lake Como, it’s normally spent by the lake, looking up at the mountains. We decided to come from a different perspective: on the top of those mountains and looking down on the lake. A grand and epic view that not many people get to experience, there are beautiful hikes and winding dirt roads. When you can drive no more, you know that you’ve reached the top. During the summer months, there are cows, sheep, donkeys, and goats roaming the mountain top, grazing from one spot to the next. They are friendly and always excited to see new travelers!
On the top of the mountain, Lake Como on one side and Lugano Lake in Switzerland on the other, this hidden epic landscape and open sky captured the feeling we wanted to share to end the By the Lake Workshop.

It’s like the Phoenix gown was simply made for a mountain-top, right?? Wanna try on our Phoenix for yourself?
And the groom absolutely came to shine in this pink suit from Linneo Archivable Clothing! Because who says the bride gets to have all the style fun?

The bride’s crown, handmade by Guinevere Vines, featured golden leaves and red ruby in the middle to match the rings from Starling and necklace + bracelet from Helping Jewels.
Christine Cater once again knocked it out of the park (or, over the mountain!) with this creative bouquet, composed of real flowers, a bronzed garland wreath, and pink organza.

The ceremony took place at the very end of the day, surrounded by lanterns dancing with light to create a magic atmosphere!
