I fell head over heels in love when I saw this super sweet engagement session from Wildflowers Photography. I just love how personal the photos are and the story behind them…
They both felt butterflies the first time the met each other. He was performing on stage and she was admiring him from the audience. Â He still remembers the white coat she was wearing and how he thought she looked like an angel. He has written countless songs about her since and now she has the honor of admiring him as her fiance. Â The inspiration for this shoot came from the love story of Johnny Cash + June Carter. The love. The passion. The music. I did my best to use this as a starting point but added in a lot of things personal to Mike + Mary. – his guitar, his special (and fantastic) old mic stand, his songs to her, and of course…butterflies.
They both felt butterflies the first time the met each other. Adorable! Thanks so much Joy!

Awwwe, I love this shoot! Such a sweet story, and cool concept.
Joy from Wildflowers has been a part of our family for years and she has taken some beautiful pictures of my girls. She definetly did a fantastic job with my sister Mary and Mikes photo shoot. She is the best and can’t wait to do more family photos!!!!
By far one of my favorite engagement session EVER because the pictures and props have actual meaning to the couple. And it looks so fantastic!!! LOVE IT!
Super cute! Inspiring!
I have always wanted to be photographed with butterflies. These photos are really great. Making the photos look like vintage is another great idea.
I remembered a friend who just got married last July. They also had this engagement photos which was shot on the street. When I asked her why, she said they both love taking a walk in the park and that’s how they met o they want to somehow remember those days. They also chose this vintage car as a background. I really love looking for unique wedding photos.
Omigoodness. Those are TOO cute. LOVE the 4th photo down~
So inspiring!
Music and butterflies. What a creative and meaningful way to do an engagement shoot.
