Here’s a sweet idea for your engagement party for the couple that loves chocolate (or maybe even a bridal shower if the bride loves chocolate)! And for those of you out there that love chocolate, here is a fun fact about me you probably didn’t know – my mom worked as a chemist for Hershey Chocolate and I grew up right outside Hershey PA – where yes, the town does smell like chocolate (at least by the factories!). Probably sounds great to a lot of you, but I’m not really a chocolate fan! I know, what are the odds??! Well, I know I’m in the minority here on the chocolate, and I think a lot of couples would love this idea!
Thanks so much to Leila + Gianna who came up with the fun idea! Using vintage props, food/desserts all made with chocolate, bold colors in the floral, and decadent stationery elements, their vision came to life. And how amazing are Lane Dittoe‘s dreamy photos? Love it!
I adore their dessert table made of frames – what a fun idea! And totally doable for even your wedding (and the best part – you could use these frames in your house after the wedding!) Chocolate lovers can feast their eyes on mini brownies, french macarons, chocolate covered pretzel rods, and dessert shots.
Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach, CA is the perfect spot for an intimate party (and I can attest as I’ve been to a party here!) The outdoor modern elements complement whimsy and fun perfectly.
Thanks so much to all the following vendors for sharing this sweet idea!

Concept and Shoot Producer: Leila Khalil of Be Inspired PR // Photographer: Lane Dittoe // Venue: Shade Hotel // Wedding Planner: Gianna of Chic Celebrations // Desserts: Cupcakes Couture of Manhattan Beach // Vintage Furniture and Props: OC Propgirl // Stationery: Mintwich Design // Flowers: Joanna Park of Floral Sense // Rentals: Classic Party Rentals // Love Ring: Forever 21
I also grew up right outside Hershey and am getting married there in August. This post was perfect for me!
Also my grandparents lived near there . I have beautiful memories from there too.
Congrats Carly! One of my best friend’s was married at the Hershey Hotel :)
This is so sweet! No pun intended!
I want an icecream engagement party!
Yes, icecream , my girl. I love icecream. Maybe we will have it too.
Thanks Jen! Our RD is at the Hotel, and the wedding is at the Hershey Country Club. We’re very excited- and all of our out of town guests are excited for the chocolate! (I’m like you- not a chocoholic even though my Dad worked there for 25+ years!)

How lovely is that?!?! So cute.
Aside from the fabulous chocolate elements, love all the wood textures, the ornate frames as food pedestals, and the richly colored florals. The total effect is a perfect blend of decadence and charm!
Everything looks so delicious! Love the table idea with the frames!
