A Whole New World of Wonders Come to Life in Aladdin + Jasmine’s Imagined Wedding!

Aladdin Wedding Inspiration

Whether you’re curious to see if Will Smith can fill some rather big shoes in the new Aladdin film or you’re strictly a fan of the original, one thing is for certain. Today’s imagined wedding between the once Prince Ali and his Princess Jasmine is clever, creative, and full of little nods to the movie. In short, it’s SO fun!

And…you’ll never ever guess where it took place. A desert, yes — but in Maine?! The Desert of Maine is a unique venue currently under renovations to take it from a “street rat” (just staying on theme, here!) to a prince. Old barns are to be replaced with desert cabins along the sand dunes, in addition to campsites among the trees — can you imagine the weddings to come?!

The day burst to life with design by Jaime from Autumn Nomad, production by The Prism House, and planning by Nicole Mower Events. And to complete the dream team, Cody James Barry Photography stepped behind the camera to capture the magic.

What more could you wish for?

Invitations from The Chatty Press brought the theme to life — and how cute is that Walt Disney stamp?!

The florals by Apotheca Flowers are total standouts. Blooms cascading here and there made for an utterly romantic setting.

Now, THIS is a tent. Draped in gorgeous linens by Maine Event Design & Decor and a ceiling of florals, the Moroccan-style whimsy was on full display.

Aladdin + Jasmine would feast like royals, would they not? Fire & Co. served a menu of smoked fish, chicken, corn, purple broccoli + carrots as well as gorgeous charcuterie boards. (And of course, there were sugar dates, figs, and pistachios to snack on!)

All true Disney heroes need an animal sidekick. While Abu was off stealing apples, Caesar the camel stepped in! Caesar (from The Pony Express) is quite the animal — a seeing-eye guide for a blind horse named Dolly! Pretty spectacular if you ask us.

Who didn’t long for Princess Jasmine’s buoyant hair growing up? Katie Walsh Glam is a real-life granter of wishes with this perfect pony!

Can Your Friends Do This?

About that dress — it has a crazy connection to the cake in that the same talented person made both! Jaime from Autumn Nomad spent upwards of 40 hours on the cake’s sequins alone. And then to design and create a dress to compliment? That’s some kind of magic!
