A Vibrant Rock ‘N’ Roll Elopement in a Record Store!

Record Store Elopement

Have you ever walked down the aisles of a record store and gawked at how cool the scenery is? Brimming with vinyls, posters from a collection of artists, memorabilia — the entire store becomes artwork in and of itself! When photographer Erika Vaughn stumbled upon Peaches Records in New Orleans, she dreamt of one day shooting in the unique location. Peaches is filled with unique vignettes, bright colors, and even a random 50s-inspired diner setup in one of the corners!

Erika’s dream came true when Jenna + Andrew reached out to her about photographing their elopement. Their idea: have a small, intimate ceremony at one of their favorite spots in the city… Peaches Records

Andrew always gives Jenna a mix tape for special moments in their relationship (birthdays, holidays, first dates, etc.), so it totally fit when he proposed to her with a cassette case!

Floral tie + a blue suit? Yes, please!! If you’re digging this look as much as us + want to recreate it — check out our recent collaboration with Neck & Tie Co. (so many florals ties + bow ties!).

To match Andrew’s floral tie, Harkins the Florist crafted Jenna’s sweet bouquet + a matching boutonnière.

Andrew arrived early with his best friend, who also officiated the wedding, and they both put so much thought into the DIY altar they put together.

Erika gushes: The ceremony was so intimate and sweet as they said their self written vows and as people walking by stopped in to watch and swoon over the specialness.

As for Jenna’s glam gown? It’s by Jill Jill Stuart from Rent the Runway.

The absolute sweetest.

At the end of a brief ceremony everyone was crying, Jenna popped open a bottle of champagne and shared with friends, random customers in the record store and the owners of Peaches — whom Andrew and Jenna are both close with (because they frequent the place so often).

So groovy, J+A!! Congrats!
