The sister of today’s bride is a wedding planner — ETC. Events — so you know what that means… Gorgeous wedding details galore! The Chileno Valley Ranch set the stage, with its Victorian-style home, a barn with romantic light, lots of rose vines, an apple orchard, and miles of rolling green hills. After getting engaged in Provence, Elizabeth + Keven wanted to blend natural + French touches throughout their wedding. Focusing on a “Kinfolk” sort of style, they incorporated natural tones, adding pops of cobalt blue, too.
Elizabeth shares We spent a lot of time just talking about what mattered to us and what didn’t. What mattered: having a big party, great food, plenty of booze, people dancing, focusing on celebrating our friends and family. What didn’t: a lot of formality, anything that emphasized making the day about us rather then the people we loved. We did want to have some acknowledgment of the Jewish wedding tradition, but that too, was significantly about celebrating family.
Ready to see the Kinfolk-inspired day? Let’s take a look at all the gorgeous details photographed by Kelly Brown!
Such a pretty venue!!
LOVE those dusty rose heels from Madewell!
Though Elizabeth’s grandmother wasn’t able to attend the wedding, she wore her grandmother’s vintage beaded wedding dress, restructured by a seamstress (how cool is that!)
So dreamy…
Mais Oui Florals incorporated different textures of greenery — wheat, pods, branches and elements that paired perfectly with the solid wood of the barn.

So many things felt just like us: we laughed a lot during pictures, during the ceremony. Our ceremony had a bunch of lovable screw-ups (like when our English friend brought a martini glass to break rather than a wine glass) that felt like us. California decided to grace us with the most picture-perfect early summer farm wedding conditions imaginable.
HOLY SMOKES! This twinkling barn scene!! The designer + planner, ETC. Events, tells us Elizabeth [my sister/the bride] and I are both avid flea market shoppers — our addiction to thrifting kicked into high gear during the year leading up to the wedding. Most of the items curated for the wedding were found at the Alameda Flea Market. We are in love with Elsie Green, a Bay Area based vintage home + event rental studio with the highest quality French-inspired goods.
Rachel Been created the menus + placards. How sweet is the laurel leaf detail?
The cake was baked by family friend, Katie Kwan – the Chef at Rice Paper Scissors. She even churned the butter!
Hire a planner or month-of coordinator! At the very least, a day-of coordinator so you can truly embrace the day and not worry about all the details!
Such a pretty + elegant day… Congratulations Elizabeth + Keven!
