As soon as we laid eyes on Corinne + Dave’s amaze woodsy wedding on Palomar Mountain, we were smitten to say the least. Could it be possible that some of our all-time favorite wedding elements were artfully bundled into one gorgeous celebration? Yep, it’s true. And we think you guys are gonna love it, too.
These guys found a beautiful space in the hills near San Diego, Ca and Corinne immediately fell in love with a line on their venue’s website that mentioned “preparing for your wedding in a style that bespeaks a simpler time.” We can see why! They let their pretty surroundings do the talking, but didn’t miss any opportunities to infuse their personalities into the details where ever possible. And since Corinne is a designer herself (Stuck With Pins), DIYing it all was absolutely no problemo.
They enlisted the talented Tyler Branch who rocked it with these super gorge images. Congrats to C + D on a beautiful day and thanks so much for sharing!
Yellow dresses AND flower crowns? Heart be still. We’re loving it all.
My favorite memory from the day was the rain! All weekend, there wasn't a cloud in sight, but as soon as Dave and I wrapped up our "blind first look" prayer, the sky opened up and started pouring rain. Luckily, I love rain (and we don't get much of it here in San Diego), so I was excited! Our guests were such troopers, and everyone goodheartedly stuck it through the entire time. It was indescribably beautiful. The whole place just sort of came alive at that point. The trees glistened and the wet earth smell filled the atmosphere. When it came time for the ceremony to begin, the rain suddenly stopped and the sun started peeking out from the clouds, making for some really unbelievable photos afterwards.
Corinne tells us, Our ceremony backdrop was made by my parents with wood all hand cut by my dad, while the gates on the sides were scrap they had lying around at the house.
^^ The best groom reaction ever, right?! ^^

My mom made all of the bouquets, boutonnieres, garland, and table flowers with a mixture of wildflowers she gathered on trail rides and materials forged from around the venue. My aunts and cousins spent most of the weekend slaving away on our cake and cupcakes which were then displayed on wood stands made by my mom. I designed, printed, cut, assembled, and hand painted every sign and graphic detail throughout the wedding (including our invites). And I’m a collector of bones and curios, so I brought in lots of skulls, antlers, and deer figures from my personal collection (my husband even gave me a skunk pelt as my wedding gift – if that doesn’t make our wedding unique, I don’t know what does!
Such pretty portraits! Hello, golden Cali light!
Get to know these cuties better in their (seriously) adorable engagement film captured by Zach Andrews:
DIYing and wedding planning is a full-time job! Don't think you can do it all on your own. I'm a crazy creative control freak, and almost lost my mind by the end. Thankfully I had a ton of helping hands on the weekend of and lots of friends well-versed in the art of weddings who came through on the big day to save my sanity.

Fantastico! It’s perfect. :)
Stunning! Beautifully done. The groom’s reaction was perfect!
Brilliant pictures! Beautiful scenery.
Love this wedding, such a natural feel and wonderful couple!
What a great wedding theme! I was really mesmerized by how it was planned and carried out. The dresses, suits, every single detail that you have in this wedding is really awesome. I was moved by the emotions that the photos convey. I think it takes a good wedding planner to achieve this kind of theme, I got to call One Heart Wedding professionals in Hong Kong… soon. :)
Love these pictures! I’m looking for mustard yellow bridesmaid dresses myself and wondering where this bride found hers?
Is this Robin’s Rachel? ;)
