Winter Engagement Photos in Portland: Jade + Ryan

city engagement

Today’s engagement session is everything stylish + sweet in Portland, Oregon! Jade is a talented wardrobe stylist and is also the designer of the stunning wedding accessories line for Sarah Seven. Jade knew that being in the bridal industry meant there were certain expectations for how your wardrobe and wedding should look – she also knew she had to wear one of Sarah’s gowns for her engagement photos! Jade finally narrowed down the selection to four! And love that she didn’t forget to match together pieces from her stylish fiance’s closet as well! Big thanks to Sara K Byrne Photography for the gorgeous photos and congrats to Jade + Ryan!

The day started early with a shoot at the docks overlooking the water and bridges of Portland…

A journey up to Mt. Hood in search of snow was second on the list.

Love all the different settings for their photos! And totally smitten with their sweet engagement story as told by Jade…

“On Sept 29, 2012 I walked into work awaiting my first open when in walked his cousin and my best friend. Delivering a package for me, I immediately started balling seeing that it was from my love. I opened the envelope to find a love letter he wrote. Also included was chocolate and specific directions to not ask questions. That day turned out to be straight from a fairy tale, hourly surprises, friends and family included, and a proposal in a canoe on a beautiful lake with Mt. Hood behind us. He played me the song he wrote for me and then ever so sweetly asked me to marry him, I jumped over to him and said yes, tears streaming down my face.”

Thanks so much to Sara K Byrne Photography for the photos.
