You might remember this super cute couple from their engagement photos we shared a few months back and today we are sharing this super sweet wedding! Debbie + Charles have been together for quite some time and they really wanted their wedding to tell the story of the 12 (yes, 12!) years that lead up to their big day. They came up with the theme “The Adventures of a Mouse and a Squirrel.” Mouse and Squirrel were the nicknames they gave each other in high school, how sweet, right?! :) To share their adventures, they named each guest table after an adventure. The mantel at the altar was reminiscent of date nights in front of Charles’ fireplace. They also incorporated little mouse + squirrel figurines and felted acorns in the decor and invites. Such a sweet wedding! Big thanks to Nancy with So Happi Together for the planning + design and to Amelia Lyon for the photos. Congrats Debbie + Charles!!
How sweet are their invites?! Debbie designed them – and you’ll see they match the reception perfectly!
Wow the whole day was so magical and unforgettable! I would have to say the most memorable moment was exchanging our vows and when Charles promised to put me before his bikes. If you understand his obsession for bikes, you will truly know that was a special moment for me!
Processional: Groom's processional: Free Falling – John Mayer; Bridal Processional: Dream – Priscilla Ahn
Recessional: Only You – Joshua Radin
First Dance: Beloved – Tenth Avenue North
I love that Debbie used GWS to help inspire her wedding and find rad artists to work with. I also love that she used our DIY terrarium placecard holder! It looks so perfect on their tables, right?!
And their wedding film by Forrey Films!
Hire a planner. If it’s not in your budget, invest in a month-of planner. Nothing can prepare you for that last month before the wedding and I am so thankful my planner was there to weave everything together. Also, enjoy the wedding day. Everyone says its goes by so fast…and it’s so true! It was over before I knew it. Again, hire a professional planner or day-of coordinator. There is no way I could have enjoyed the wedding without them.
