Lauren + Nate wanted their wedding day to not only be full of meaning, but tons of fun! Since their guests were coming from all over the country to celebrate with them, they made sure the weekend was like a mini-vacation – stress-free + relaxing! They chose Devil’s Thumb Ranch, a rustic ranch in the valley of Tabernash, Colorado, where they could say their vows in a gorgeous field surrounded by moutains – and wait until you see their stunning ceremony structure covered in paper flowers! Lauren is a graphic designer and designed their invites, signs and decoration to be “mountain rustic with a touch of whimsy.” Nate’s personality showed itself with a pre-ceremony lawn games competition, good music, and plenty of pie. Thanks so much to Taylor Lord Photography for the photos and congrats to Lauren + Nate!
The bouquets contained tiny nests, balsa wood roses, and traditional flowers as well as burlap and lace ribbons woven throughout.
Such a gorgeous ceremony location!
I would say hearing Nate say his vows to me...what a rush! Another favorite was jumping into our getaway car, and Nate handing me a travel book that FINALLY revealed where we were going on our honeymoon – Belize! The suspense was killing me.
Love this idea! At the reception, mini-cakes took the place of traditional centerpieces – along with a note that said the guests could eat the cake first! :)
Wear comfortable shoes, or sneak in some flip-flops for the reception when your legs go numb and seize up from all that dancing. I couldn't feel my toes for three days.

June is a beautiful time in Colorado. It doesn’t get too hot like the later summer months. What a gorgeous wedding. :)

Wow. Seriously gorgeous and cool. I love the ceremony location. Such a dream wedding to photograph. Taylor is amazing!
This is stunning! In love with the ceremony decor!
Oh my goodness. This wedding is incredibly stunning…and that ceremony location leaves me speechless!
cakes at every table for the table numbers-genius!!
I am so in love with the paper goods for this wedding. Graphic designer brides are really raising the bar on quality and creativity. The wedding monogram/logo is also becoming really popular and you can use it forever. Not to mention the amazing flower arbors. Great work Lauren!
This wedding was the highlight of my summer. Lauren and Nate (the gorgeous bride and groom) were a delight to work with – this was HER vision. I was just the lucky one chosen to make it happen.
Yay! What a beautiful wedding, Kara + Jess (: You ladies are so talented!
Gosh, so many gorgeous details to take in! Lauren is super-talented…that altar is a work of art!
Of all the weddings I have seen, and trust me, I’ve seen a lot … this has to be one of the most beautiful and fun ever! I love the idea of having mini cakes as the centerpieces!!! Beautiful florals and how can you go wrong in a stunning background that’s Colorado? LOVE LOVE LOVE this one!
love the colorful cake centerpiece idea!! :)
WOW! The flower archway and the mountains and the background are jaw dropping. What a beautiful setting for a wedding! We also love the bridal bouquet. All of the various plants and textures, especially the adorable robin egg nest, create amazing depth; making for an eye catching and one-of-a-kind bouquet.
This wedding was put together so well, When I saw the ceremony setup I had to stop and say “Oh wow”! good job keeping it tasteful and full of individual personality!
This wedding is amazing!!!! I would love to know where her necklace is from?? and what its made of?
