Today I have some fun ideas to share with you all based around the Finally Wedding Invitations from our lovely sponsor, Minted. This invitation suite was designed by Oscar+Emma for Minted. :) For this post, I selected one of my favorite designs from their 2011 Wedding Collection and came up with some fun ideas on how you could bring this invitation to life. :) One of my favorite things about this invitation suite is the fun type treatments it uses, so I played around with those a bunch as well as the modern yellow + white palette.
I love the idea of creating custom wood blocks to spell out cute quotes for your wedding. These blocks are pretty easy to create and really brought the design together. I also love that you can keep these after the wedding to remember your wedding day always. :)
By keeping the palette simple with yellow + white it creates a super modern look. I used daffodils, yellow ranunculus and billy balls for the yellow centerpieces placed in mason jars spray painted white. The guests each would receive a yellow wooden heart as their favor with a tag that says, “you are all i need.” They also each have a cute YAY! flag at their place setting to wave throughout the day.
I love daffodils and they are so perfect for spring!
I hung fringe streamers as the backdrop in alternating yellow and white bands. The vinyl dunny on the right holds a fun sign and is the perfect unique guestbook for all your guests to sign.

Hopefully this shows you that inspiration really can come from anywhere – and if you find an invite you love – that just might be a perfect design idea if you are stuck for an idea! :) Be sure to check out more invitations from Minted and see if there is one that inspires you.
WOW! Love the bright, happy colors!!! This is a great idea matching the invite to the entire ceremony!!!
Hopefully the way everything turns out, our invites will match how the decorations end up!
The invitation that you send out to your guest is their first clue as to what your wedding is going to be with regards to theme, color, etc.
I really love how you used bright yellow flowers such as happy daffodils and my all time fave rununculus!
Ooh. White irises all massed together… love it! Very bright, happy, and modern.
Great colors! I love the cute blocks!
These blocks are SO cute! Thinking I might steal that idea :) Love Minted invites too – what a fun idea!
I am generally not a huge fan of yellow – but this looks so simple, elegant, and fun!
Love this shoot! the blocks are such a great idea!

I love the idea of spray painting the mason jars. Did you use a certain type of spray paint? I’m concerned that the paint won’t stick to the glass jars that I plan to use.
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated!
this is gorgeous! i love the simplicity and boldness of the colors, and the vinyl figure.
Spring is here and I love yellow and white as a great combination for the spring bride- modern or vintage the colors work well !
I LOVE that you have a DUNNY in this shoot!! I’m using a dunny also for my guestbook – a giant one!!!
