Ann + Richard love all things mid-century modern and spending time in the California desert. Both being Los Angeles natives, the Parker Palm Springs seemed to be the perfect setting for them – a little weekend getaway for their closest friends and family. :) They wanted their day to be fresh, fun and whimsical which I think you’ll totally agree they were successful in doing! Thanks so much to onelove photography for sending this one my way!
From Ann, Our vision really came together with our handmade invitations which captured the look and feel of the venue {notice the wall pattern from The Parker is included in their invites – love that detail! } I was lucky to have a dear friend help custom design, hand cut and letterpress each and every invitation for us. Many countless hours spent working together on them, but they are a work of art and we will cherish them forever.
There are so many memorable moments! I will share my top two...I will never forget our First Look and tender reaction from Richard when he turned around and saw me. It was so nice to have that moment together. The second was the last song of the night. We decided to end the dance party with We Are The Champions by Queen. The guys lifted both Richard and I up in the air and all our family and friends surrounded us on the dance floor, arms up and belting out the tune. Best party ever.
One of my favorite groom entrances! Right?! :)
Communicate with your partner and get them involved in the planning. It's a lot more fun that way! We received a lot of advice and opinions from our friends and family which we appreciated very much, but we really stuck to our vision and incorporated what was most important to us.
