what do you love about weddings?
A wedding day is a time for couples to showcase their personality, their story, what has brought them to that day and why they love each other. A time for them to shout at the top of their lungs "THIS IS US!" Being able to film that moment and return it as a piece of personal artwork to our couples pretty much rocks...
what's your travel policy?
We will to travel to just about anywhere you are willing to take us. We require a basic fee to cover our travel expenses. Available for travel year round.
to your wedding faves
I cannot give enough praise to Alanna and Ted from Modern 8! They were an absolute pleasure to work with from the very beginning of the crazy booking a videographer process. They are clearly passionate about their work and telling couples’ stories and it’s evident in their work. I’m obviously biased but I think the highlight video they made for us is one of the best I’ve seen on all the wedding blogs. They made us feel at ease throughout the entire filming process. We never felt awkward or forced and they guided us slightly when we looked like we were deer caught in the headlights. Alanna and Ted are incredibly talented storytellers but, most importantly, they’re incredibly sweet and good hearted people. It truly makes all the difference when it comes to your big day!
Our video through Modern 8 Films was the best gift in the world. It is the ONE thing that will help me, my husband, our family and friends always remember our special day – this is priceless (because it all goes by too quickly!). We received our highlights video a week ago, and even my parents who were skeptical of video to begin with, are in complete awe. We share it with everyone – even people who barely know us – and it brings them to tears. Ted and Alanna do a great job of capturing the raw emotions. We felt so comfortable from the first time we met them via phone; we refer to them as family even though they live 2,000+ miles across the country. There are certainly a lot of options/expenses to consider when getting married, but deciding to do a video and work with Modern 8 was one of the most worthwhile investments, and I hope the feelings we get when we watch our video (now at least twice a day!) never go away, because it’s incredible.
