Hello, I'm JR.

I would describe my style as candid, real, & comfortable. My approach to photographing weddings is to document the day as it happens & for the images to tell the story of your day. I want you to be relaxed, to be yourself, and enjoy your big day.

what inspires you?

I was lucky enough to be married to my wonderful wife in 2006. Unfortunately for us, our wedding photos were not what we were expecting. I started shooting weddings in 2010, and it has been my personal goal since then to make sure I do not have my clients feel the same way about their wedding photos. In terms of photographing weddings, I am inspired each wedding by the love & real-ness of the entire day. It's a celebration, so I love to capture the smiles & the tears.

what do you love about weddings?

Weddings are a life defining moment that is shared with family and closest friends & for me to be a part of that and to document it is a great honor. I like to engage with my clients before the wedding day, so by the time of the wedding, I feel like I know you, and it's great to see the joy, love, laughter & tears that occur in the process. And that is what I love to photograph.
