describe your artistic style: I like to take as much cheese out of wedding photography as possible. Focusing on the real moments, my goal is to help you remember what your wedding day felt like when you look at your photos later on, not just what it looked like. I have a two part approach. Most of the day, I like to artfully document moments as they naturally unfold in front of me. Then, when it comes time for the portraits, I'll put you in some great light before I gently guide you so that your photos look as natural as possible and never stiff or cliche.
what inspires you? I've always had a passion for stories but it wasn't until I picked up the camera that I figured out why. Telling little stories throughout wedding days is so inspiring to me! I don't think I'll ever want to stop doing this. I genuinely enjoy it so much.
what do you love about weddings? Weddings have a special way of bringing people together. While I strongly believe that the little things like the flowers and decor are important and deserve to be artfully documented, it's the people that really make a wedding what it is. Being surrounded by people who have come together for the purpose of celebrating love is one of the best ways you could choose to spend a day. I feel so incredibly lucky for some of the things I've witnessed at weddings over the years. I often go home at the end of the day feeling so inspired to love my own people better.
what's your travel policy? I travel for most of my weddings and I love it! Getting me to your wedding really isn't as expensive as you might think and I take care of all of the arrangements, meaning less stress for you. When traveling for a wedding, I always travel at least one day in advance so I can pre-scout for portrait locations.
