describe your artistic style: Established in 2011, Blossom Veils hit the forefront of the bridal industry with hand crafted accessories derived from a family trade. The focus of the Blossom Veils collection is a combination of luxury and one-of-a-kind artisanship. Each item is handmade using the finest and most intricate embroidery and beadwork in the world. The artisans at Blossom have become masters at the ancient art of Zardosi – a beautiful embroidery method once used to gild the robes of Kings and Queens in India — as well as the delicate tambour technique. From the foothills of the Himalayas to the tip of Kanyakumari, the lifestyle of artisanal crafts and textiles continues to carry prominent elements of this ancient tradition. It is no surprise that couture designers from around the world have admired and incorporated these skill sets from India in the way that Blossom Veils carries this aesthetic into the world of bridal.
what inspires you? Handcrafted with the intention that each veil, belt or bolero could be handed down and appreciated for generations is what makes Blossom unique. Blossom accessories are created from the highest quality silks and chiffon, trimmed with satin and velvet, and embellished with Swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls, glass beads, sequins, and mother of pearl. Brides who choose a Blossom piece for their wedding day are adorning themselves with a work of art.
what do you love about weddings? Blossom Veils & Accessories was the means by which our designer, Sohil, became a part of the bridal fashion industry. Accessories help complete an ensemble, but most importantly they have the ability to set the tone for the overall look. The idea that these pieces play such a fundamental role in the bride's wedding day are what we feel most passionately about. The moment a bride puts on her Blossom veil, sash, bolero, or headpiece, in so many ways, she is saying "I'm ready to be wed. This is the look I've created and will remember years from now." It allows for her to let her personality shine and that moment transcends beyond just her wedding day.
