Waterfall Elopement in the Rainforest: Jessi + Cody

waterfall elopement

Imagine driving over a thousand miles, to a site you’ve never seen before, to exchange your vows in the lush rainforest with just a handful of friends in tow. Well that’s exactly what Jessi + Cody did when they eloped at Wahclella Falls near Columbia River Gorge in Mt. Hood, Oregon! I’m so in love with Jessi’s sweet, boho look – comprised of a gorgeous Sarah Seven gown + a super lovely daisy and rose floral crown. And even more than that, I love the reasons behind why they chose to elope:

The inspiration for doing our wedding this way was a combination of loving adventure and outdoors, making our day stress free, low key, personal and above all, an experience that let us truly enjoy each other and focus on the connection we have and the big step we were making. We also had our best friends there to watch and one of our very best friends officiate the ceremony.

Such an amazingly beautiful location! Thank you so much to Carl Zoch for the stunning photography and big congrats to Jessi + Cody on a day that was exactly what they wanted!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Our entire wedding day was enjoyable. Nothing went wrong and with the very little planning and organizing, we were very happy to have everything fall into place so well. However the most memorable moment for us had to be the celebration afterward with locally brewed beer, Dom Perignon and Doritos – we like to keep it classy but never too serious!

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

My advice for anyone who is planning an elopement in the future would be to make sure you spend enough time in the beautiful place you decide to get married in. I would have loved to stay longer in Hood River because it forever becomes a special spot for you and your husband... also making sure to contact a local florist and know the marriage laws are good things to keep in mind!
