If you loved the Water for Elephants inspiration board from this morning, I think you are going to love this styled shoot based around the book + movie, Water for Elephants. And a fun fact about this shoot – it was shot at one of the locations they used in the movie!! How perfect is that? The Orange Empire Railway Museum is such an amazing venue and there are endless possibilities for couples who want a historical playground that is simply amazing.
A bit about the shoot from Marilyn Nakazato (the photographer), “It’s not necessarily trying to mock the look of the movie but rather how we imagined what the main characters, Jacob and Marlena played by Rob and Reese, and how their wedding would have been like. It’s almost as if they had collected things they found in their homes and brought them outside, set their furniture on a nearby grassy area with the trains in the background. The ceremony area was created with a wrought iron gate intertwined with moss and wood to bring a simple and rustic feel.”
“The reception tablescape included centerpieces with pops of color against soft creamed colored flowers to tie in a bit of the whimsical circus element. We chose to use vintage mismatched china, platters and colored goblets along tea light candles against intricate beaded table linens to create a soft intimate glam in an outdoor setting.”
How sweet + perfect, right? Thanks so much to all the vendors involved for sharing their talents today! And they also photographed what their engagement would have been like! I love vintage photos by trains, so I think this is perfect, especially since they traveled around by train. :)
Check out this AMAZING film Rustic Red Studio created for the shoot – beautiful job!
