Ornella + Lucas are foodies at heart, and their backgrounds, with family-owned restaurants, inspired them to work together to create the top food stand in all of Seattle, Un Bien. Not all too surprisingly, one of their top priorities for their wedding day was good food, so it made perfect sense to incorporate a fresh, creative menu into their gorgeous Seattle, Washington celebration at The Corson Building. They chose a family style meal to create the best atmosphere imaginable to share with their closest family + friends and worked alongside Finch & Thistle and Wonderstruck Events to execute their gorgeous event.
Ornella goes on to say, We wanted to celebrate our marriage with an intimate, fabulous dinner party with our closest friends and family. We had nods to our family heritage (Cuban and Italian) and our family history (restaurant families on both sides).
Big thanks to Kristen Marie Parker for sending these super lovely images our way!
Kristen Marie Parker says, The best part of their day was the joining of their family with their son Jackson, who completely stole the show.
Finch & Thistle also created an incredible color palette for the textural florals, basing their design off of Ornella’s request for “sexy blooms”!
Lucas: Saying our vows, hands down.
Ornella: When I saw Lucas for the first time (taking our photos), I immediately felt calm and at peace. I was able to relax and just fully enjoy the rest of the day with him by my side.
Processional: Cant Help Falling in Love – Ingrid Michaelson
Recessional: Signed, Sealed, Delivered – Stevie Wonder
First Dance: It Had to be You – Frank Sinatr
The reception tent exuded a magical feel. Long, wooden farm tables from Seattle Farm Tables, paired with dusty blue linens from La Tavola (arranged via Finch & Thistle) and punchy berry + pink centerpieces set the stage for the relaxed, delicious meal ahead.
Ornella’s father honored the day by opening and sharing a bottle of Gaja wine from Italy that was bottled in 1988, Ornella’s birth year.
See even more from this beautiful day in the film below by Wade Koch:
Ornella: Focus on what you think is important and how you want the day to look. Focus on the most important thing: you're getting married to your best bud, and you picked an awesome teammate.
Lucas: Double your budget.

Beautifully shot wedding, the dining area looks serene and WOW that night time shot under the umbrella is stunning
Love the closeness to nature in this wedding. The decorations were all so classy and the cake topper brings that personal touch.
The rain shot at the end rocks!
Also, anything by Frank Sinatra for a first dance is top notch! Nice choice.
