Ok, all you lovely SoCal couples, including maybe some newly engaged brides (anyone get engaged yesterday?)! It’s that time again – THE US GRANT in downtown San Diego will be hosting its fourth annual wedding + event showcase on March 4, 2012! THE US GRANT’s Love, Etc event will treat couples to three floors of eye candy where each level will provide brides and guests with a chance to discover not only THE US GRANT’s most stunning wedding venues, but also engage with more than 60 of Southern California’s top wedding vendors in a luxurious + personal setting. The event will be presented as a journey from ‘First Date’ to ‘I do’.
Couples will enjoy M Bride Couture Wedding Gowns showcasing the season’s most gorgeous wedding gowns + veils, treasures from Tiffany & Co., and a Shoe Bar (!) featuring the most coveted brands from Neiman Marcus. A custom invitation created by Paper and Thread will invite couples to this lavish wedding showcase. There will also be performances by the San Diego Ballet in the Lobby, sultry jazz in the Celestial Ballroom, and aerial acrobats telling a stunning story of love upstairs in the Presidential Ballroom in-between fashion shows – wow!
Nearly 800 guests attended the showcase last year where one lucky and very deserving couple won a wedding at THE US GRANT with every detail coordinated and provided by the hotel and its top vendors. Couples will again be able to live a fairytale and have the opportunity to win a wedding for 100 guests at THE US GRANT by entering the showcase raffle or a honeymoon package to Hawaii!! Such an amazing prize. :)

Oh my goodness it’s like fate! I have to attend! While we live in Las Vegas, we’ll be wed in Joshua Tree, CA this fall.
It just so happens that I’ll be in San Diego for a concert with some old friends and some much needed R&R the very same weekend of Love, Etc. so I will definitely be in attendance; c’mon, a shoe bar? My boyfriend and I have to hold off on weddings because we’re both in school and cannot afford it, but it would be wonderful to go and see all the wonderful things to do and get some great ideas for the future. Maybe we can figure out how to make these ideas a DIY! :)

The US Grant is truthfully my favorite hotel ever. It’s so classy without any pretension and it’s in the heart of an equally lovely and beautiful city. I am also an aspiring wedding designer about to break free from my architecture job and go full-time into wedding planning. I would love the opportunity to meet vendors at one of the most luxurious places in the world! sounds like heaven!
