my proposal story.
we were on a romantic trip in the beautiful portugal. he carried the black box in his suitcase the entire time, sweating buckets because he was afraid it was going to be stolen or lost. he never found the right moment to pop the question, but i accidentally found the box in the pocket of his robe. as torturous as it was, i didn’t say anything.
turns out, he decided to propose one week later when we returned. in my backyard, under the tree where we had our first kiss. simple candlelit proposal, perfect for us.
