We’re pretty in love with every little aspect of today’s gorgeous wedding. For one thing, Sparrows Lodge in Palm Springs, California is the ultimate melding of modern + rustic and it’s located smack dab in the middle of the beautiful desert. We also happen to think that when Sitting In a Tree Events + Root 75 get together, only really good things can happen. It’s like one of those vendor dream team situations. Lastly, we love a bride in a sleek, modern dress and the fact that Molly chose one of our faves, by Houghton, is only sealing the deal when it comes to loving this wedding!
Molly + her groom, Evan, share, Our main goal was to ensure everyone had a great time. We kept things pretty non-traditional which made the evening flow and allowed for maximum dance party time! Our family helped out a ton too. It meant so much to have my dad make the copper table numbers and menu sign holders. Evan and I had a blast working with him.

Evan: It’s hard to single out one moment of our wedding day as most memorable, but I can narrow it down to a couple. The first look was easily one of those moments. It was unbelievably special to see my bride for the first time on our wedding day. I was blown away. The ceremony was another “most-memorable” moment. Building up to our wedding day, I was convinced that my nerves would get the best of me and I would inevitably whimper my way through the entirety of my vows. But I made it through! We both did! It was perfect.
Molly: When our DJ played one of my all time favorite songs, All I Want for Christmas by Mariah Carey, out of nowhere. Everyone, and i mean everyone, sang their hearts out and danced like no one was watching. Another great moment was when we walked into our reception as husband and wife. I've never felt so alive and so much love.

Evan says, Molly and I have shared an enthusiasm for music from the beginning, so we agreed that it was important to translate a vibe that represented us. As seasoned wedding-guests, it became a goal to throw an unforgettable dance party at our own wedding. We asked our good friend to play DJ, and without much guidance, he created the soundtrack to a perfect day.

If it is in the budget, hire a planner. Even if it is a month-of planner, they really help. Our planners executed everything we wanted and more. It was a stress-free day (and entire planning process) because everything was taken care of!
