Keeping with our Southwest theme today, this styled shoot drew its inspiration from the culture of Southern Colorado. Southern Colorado culture is comprised of Native American, Spanish, Mexican and early pioneer influences. The team wanted to incorporate the colors and textures from the desert with the textiles of wood, burlap and natural fibers. Thanks so much to Vanessa Kruse of Flourish Studio Photography for the photos!
All of the paper items were made by Roger from Flourish Letterpress. The menu and table number were created on wood – love that detail! The laser cut place mats were also made of a natural fibered paper and the place cards were faux tin. Love the use of different textures!
Kristi from Fleur Decor created the stunning corsages, boutonnières, bouquets and centerpieces. Kristi incorporated succulents, thistles, lavender, natural + rustic florals, and incorporated turquoise jewelry in each piece.
The location for the shoot in Colorado Springs’ Black Forest area is stunning, right?! The La Foret Retreat & Conference Center has an adobe Santa Fe Style chapel that was the perfect location for this Southern Colorado Styled shoot. The gorgeous jewelry is by Sarah of Bellissima Jewelry Design
Thanks so much to the artists below for sharing their creative talents with us today!

Wow!!! Beautiful scenery, Love it!!!
And them are gorgeous, congrats sweet couple!!
What a lovely shoot! Having grown up with grandparents living in New Mexico, and parents who loved to decorate our house as if we lived in the southwest, this post is near and dear to my heart. I love the subtle washed out yet resonating tones of the desert, and the elegant almost deconstructed look of this particular setting. Well done!
This is so gorgeous!! Love this inspiration for all sorts of parties and events!!
Cheers
