Southern Weddings V5 Sneak Peek

Southern Wedding V5 Cover Ryan Ray

I’m excited to share a tiny sneak peek at the latest issue of Southern Weddings magazine today! This issue is their largest ever at over 300 pages! The issue hits newsstands today and you can find the magazine throughout the Southeast at Barnes & Noble, Walmart, Target, Walgreens, and other grocery stores and pharmacies, as well as online in their shop. The gorgeous cover was captured by GWS fave Ryan Ray (remember this stunning Fall Barn Wedding we shared from him a few months ago?). Congrats on the cover Ryan and congrats to all the lovely ladies over at Southern Weddings! I can’t wait to read the latest issue also and see some of my favorite Southern artists featured!

I’m sharing a few photos from one of their editorials – this one is all about heirloom tomatoes! – featuring the photography of Eric Kelley and styling of Lora Elaine! A bit about the piece from Southern Weddings:

For us, this issue is purely about love, and as such, we wanted every editorial to tell a story. This one was all about heirloom tomatoes, and the astounding (and inspiring!) range of hues they take on! We wanted the shoot to have a family feel, so we invited our local friends to stand in for the (large) bridesmaid entourage (that’s how we do it in the South!), as well as the families and kids! The end of the shoot day was pretty much a huge party, with more than 40 vendors and “models” dancing to the live bluegrass band we brought in. Other favorite details include the tomato tasting station and the ombre of bridesmaid dresses. Also, the bride is Miss Georgia USA 2012, and she was so sweet!
