Salvation Mountain Engagement Session: Teresa + Nick

Teresa + Nick  both work in fashion, so perfecting their outfits for their fun Salvation Mountain engagement session with Amanda VanVels Photography was par for the course. But more noticeable, even, than their  great sense of style is their sense for adventure + their super sweet connection, which really radiates from these beautiful images.

We’re always curious why couples choose the locations they do for their engagement photos + wedding. While we can see the obvious appeal to Salvation Mountain, we loved hearing more from Teresa about why it was just right for them + their e-session: We picked Salvation Mountain because we love its vibrancy and believe in the message of positivity and love that it sends. We also spend a lot of time in the desert and wanted to do the shoot somewhere we love being.

Between their style + the colorful surroundings, we just can’t seem to get enough! T tells us, This outfit was actually 2 pieces. The bottom, which is probably one of my favorite pieces ever, was actually a dress I got from Hong Kong, but the top part is super skimpy so I folded it down and tucked it in the inside. I got the top from Urban Outfitters. It was a pretty midriff tank. I was lucky it went together pretty perfect.

Let’s end this one with the cute happenstance story of how T + N met:

We met while he was working. The place was closing and he was asking people to leave. When he came up to me I told him I wasn’t ready to go. Everyone else ended up leaving and he and I ended up talking for a couple of hours after the place closed down. We went to dinner a couple of days later and have been together ever since.
