This lovely outdoor styled shoot was sent to me from Megan of Forget Me Knot Weddings and was inspired by all things vintage including an antique ironing board + iron. The vision behind the shoot was all about “ironing out the details and having a wrinkle free event.” Lots of inspiration for those who love the rustic, vintage aesthetic and hopefully some fun ideas to incorporate into your wedding or bridal shower! Thanks so much Megan to you and your team. :)
The talented Edyta of Edyta Szyszlo Photography captured each sweet detail and was such a joy to collaborate with. The slogan we created, “wrinkle free love” was inspiration to us and we wanted to build our vision around that idea. With that in mind, it lead us down the path of tying vintage inspired props together such as spools of thread, antique wooden bobbins, buttons, yarn and vintage aprons strung on a clothes line. Ambyr was our lovely model who captured our vision of a vintage bride with such ease and grace. She wore a beautiful multi layered dress designed by Eel and Ermine along with a vintage apron to tie back to our theme.
The sweetheart table was styled with vintage dinnerware found at a local thrift store. I feel in love with these plates as they were iridescent with a marigold undertone that fit perfect with the lace marigold napkins. The gorgeous lush centerpieces designed by Florali were displayed in blue mason jars that complimented the tables soft simple colors and created the most beautiful focal point. The little details such as the wooden buttons, colorful spools of thread and mini clothes hangers made for charming decorations.
The dessert table was inspired by a antique wood ironing board. Vintage aprons hung on the clothes line providing a picturesque backdrop. The pops of color mixed so well with the natural rustic setting creating a charming vintage aesthetic. We displayed pastries and a crape cake made by Adelphi Productions on cake stands which provided pure yumminess.
We also created a space for escort cards and favor bags that were finished with beautiful calligraphy by Sincerely, Dapper. The favor bags read “we are thread over spool in love, thanks for being cute as a button” using clothes pins.
