Alisa + Kyle wanted their wedding day to be an eclectic mix of Africa, adventure and 1920s French advertisements – love those combos! :) They decided that their napkins would be made from fabric they collected in Uganda and built the rest of the details around that. Their wedding day goal was to have the wedding a reflection of their relationship + values and wanted the day to feel relaxed yet meaningful + intimate for them and their guests. I would say from viewing the photos, that it was a big success! Thanks so much to Tyler Branch Photo for the gorgeous photos and congrats to Alisa + Kyle!
Isn’t Alisa’s dress stunning? She bought a vintage dress on ebay and her mother remade it into the gorgeous dress she is wearing. Amazing!
Alisa: The best part of getting married was the part where we actually got married! Our ceremony was absolutely perfect. Walking down the aisle and seeing everyone's happy faces. Seeing Kyle cry and smile and cry some more. Saying our vows and meaning every word. Committing our lives together. Becoming husband and wife! Being showered in lavender on our walk back down the aisle and not being able to stop smiling. It was my favorite! Breaking open our pinata and seeing how surprised our friends and family were was also pretty great. :)
Kyle: Basically what Alisa said and it was also nice to spend time with my groomsmen (my two best friends and my brother), talking about our relationships while enjoying some of the beer I brewed for the wedding. I loved seeing Alisa before the day started when the whole wedding party ate breakfast prepared by Alisa's sister at the Treehouse. I thought it would help calm me down, but I was still a weepy baby for our first look and when I saw her walk down the aisle.

Thrift stores are your friends. I made a photo inventory of all the things I thrifted and crafted which helped me keep track of what I had and let me share ideas easily with friends and vendors.
And their sweet wedding film by Aqua Vivus Productions!
Narrow down your vision: you can't include everything! Start early and pace yourself. Make lists and prioritize your projects. Find vendors that you click with and that understand your vision. Have a mom that can sew :) and amazingly sweet, creative friends. Hire a day-of-coordinator so you can fully enjoy your wedding day! The day of, take little moments to absorb everything around you and to recognize the significance of the day and the commitment you made. In the end, you really won't care if you finished all the projects you had hoped or if everything went as planned - the day will be perfect because you married the person you love!

Every vintage detail is sweeter than the one before it. I particularly love the fence of frames and the adorable owl!
Oh my goodness, IN LOVE. I adore every detail about this wedding. Congrats, you two!

Like the vintage look of this wedding. Decorations must have taken a long time to prepare.
SO beautiful. Tyler Branch does an amazing job every time!
The fun-loving romance of this breath-taking wedding shines through each photo! It is beautifully “crafted” and no doubt a genuine, personal tribute to Alisa and Kyle’s love!
What an incredible wedding. Alisa and Kyle you two are obviously in love and create beautiful moments together. Congratulations.
This is beautiful! Love all the details in this wedding!
It´s a beautiful wedding! They took care of every detail!
Don’t even know where to start. Her dress, hair, flowers – all gorgeous. Did this wedding actually take place in Africa? It looks like it did. Don’t see how it could have been any more perfect. Congrats!
Such a lovely wedding. I love this. The bride looks so beautiful too. Congratulations on such a great wedding!
Cutest wedding video ever! & I loved the brides updo for the wedding
I LOVE everything form this wedding. Great idea on the personalized Bucket List book—-I would love to know where you got that made. I’m getting married in Dec. and want something like it. Thanks!
Hi Vanessa,
The bride here :) I actually made the Bucket List book by hand. I used an old book and penciled the letters on before drawing them on in pen. Then you can use the inside margins of the pages to write on… :)
What a brilliant idea! Thanks so much!
p.s.Btw CONGRATS! What a beautiful wedding!
Gorgeous bride!
You are beautiful! Is the fabric of the bottom of the dress taffeta or is it lace? Thank you.
it’s lace :)
What a lovely “gentle feel” wedding, it just oozed the affection you all have for each other:)
I do have a question, what was in the pinata !!:)
the glowsticks you see in the last couple photos were in the pinata!
that is AWESOME! I was thinking that glow sticks are super fun, and pinatas are super fun – how cool to combine em. Also, WOW, what a beautiful wedding!!!!!!
What a nice and very detailed wedding.
Love this, they look so happy! Especially love the beaded hair piece, any chance the bride would consider selling this? I would love it for my wedding in December, even information on who made it for you x
Sara Kim made the headpiece :) The link to her site is in the vendor list at the end of the post.
Your ring is absolutely beautiful! Was that a gray diamond?!
May I ask where the groom found it?
it is a gray diamond! both the setting and the diamond are antique and he found them separately on ebay then had them put together by a jeweler :)
This wedding feature rustic wedding flowers with a unique edge! The flowers in this post in include, white anemones, luscious greens, peach wax flowers, pink stock, bells of ireland, gerbera daisies, peach carnations and much more! Beautiful rustic looks can be made by the DIY bride too! Great post, thank you!
In love with this wedding! What a beautiful setting! Wow!
x
I adore this wedding! A random question for the bride: what month did you get married in? I’m trying to decide on a month for my wedding and noticed the nature and trees look lovely here!
I got married on June 10 :)
