Although Adriana + Chris live in San Diego, California, they fell in love with the city of Austin, Texas during a visit and realized it not only had the perfect vibe for their big day, but would be a great central location for their friends + family who are spread out all over the country. Being that their wedding was a destination celebration, A + C worked closely with Wes of Modern Moments to execute the day + design, but Adriana herself curated much of the decor and the bohemian setting she created is almost too good to be true!
She shares, The rustic, industrial elements of the venue made it an easy backdrop for our informal style. We didn’t want anything to feel too fussy or contrived – florals were kept natural and loose, furniture rentals were vintage, and I handmade as much decor as I could (I did all the signage and my bridesmaids helped me create the yarn hanging at the altar). The most important thing in the world to both of us is our beloved dog Olive so including her was a must. Neither of us care much for being the center of attention so she was a perfect distraction.
Thanks so much to Loft Photography for sharing these beautiful images + congrats to Adriana + Chris on a gorgeous day!
We have nothing but love for Adriana’s Rue de Seine wedding dress which she purchased from The Dress Theory.
Clementine Botanical Art created the most gorgeous bouquets + floral arrangements for the day. We love the wildflower look to these beauties!

After a day of unexpected gloom and drizzle we decided to move the ceremony indoors. I had envisioned our wedding outdoors for so long I couldn't believe it would now look so different. When we said our 'I Do's at the altar and kissed, a bright ray of sunshine suddenly pierced through the window behind us. It was such an incredible moment, truly magical and perfect as it was, and even more so when the guitarist began playing 'Just Like Heaven' because that's exactly how it felt.
Unique rentals from Birch and Brass + Loot Vintage Rentals added just the right vintage and bohemian touch to the reception space.
Say yes when people offer to help and hire a day-of coordinator. It's tempting to feel like you can or should do everything on your own especially if you're a control freak like me. But people really do want to feel useful and you'll be able to focus on what really matters during the wedding - enjoying the moment!
