Remember Anna Bond’s beautiful wedding I posted a few months ago? Well, did you know she has her own design company? RIFLE event design specializes in hand painted illustrations and lettering to convey the unique story of each client told through stationery & paper goods. Her work is so personal and adorable! Love it. Check out some of her latest designs.
Ashley & Grant’s wedding in the mountains of North Carolina provided the inspiration for their wedding set. She painted the illustrations with gouache and hand drew the lettering on the invitation, map, and info card. I also really love that she created a simple “RSVP website” as an alternative to printed response cards (something she did for her own wedding and found very convenient) – and the look matches the invitation! The invitation was printed on 3 pieces of natural white Neenah Paper cardstock and wrapped together with a matching cotton ribbon.
From Anna, “The inspiration for Carly & Daniel’s invitation allowed for such a unique illustration & type treatment.. it came from both their wedding location (the roof of the Gramercy Park Hotel in NYC) and Carly’s collection & love of vintage astronomy maps. I love that it’s a bit darker than some of the invitations that I’ve done lately and it has this sort of classy ‘new york’ feel. I also included the comp sketch and a photo of the final illustration being painted.. to see a bit of my process and because the final version ended up being almost exactly what I had sketched out.”
I really loved working on Carmella and Grégoire’s wedding invitation and their wedding is going to be so amazing. They’re getting married in France with a French meets Mexican styled event (both of their cultures coming together). The illustration on the front was created with cut paper.. something I decided to do to complement the papel picado (Mexican paper flags) and other details of the wedding.
Ruthie & Dylon’s wedding invitation was created using three layers of paper and hand written type to fit with their vintage classic style wedding. A complementary website was also created to handle their responses, provide links to directions and things to do in the area, and share a photo gallery with their guests.
Be sure to check out her portfolio for more of her beautiful work and keep up to date on her latest designs at her blog.
