Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. We are starting the week off with a gorgeous wedding photographed by one of my favorites, the one-and-only Jonas Peterson. I love how Patricia + David’s wedding was a bit rustic in the setting, yet totally glamourous. Stunning you guys! And so fun to find out Patricia used Green Wedding Shoes as inspiration while planning her wedding. :) And one other thing – she planned her wedding in four months! So it can be done. A bit from Patrcia about the day…
The location informed every decision. We were married on the property of a beautiful 18th century stone house and the reception was in a 19th century restored barn that was this beautiful shade of red. The whole day had a rustic yet refined feel, which was enhanced by the use of bare farm tables, vintage tableware, and ornate chandeliers hung from the beams of the barn. We used vintage imagery in all of the paper goods, from the invitations to the programs to the coasters. The seating cards were also woven into the theme – each card was strung with an old skeleton key.
Most memorable moment of your wedding day? The feeling of walking across the lawn, down the aisle of rose petals, and standing next to my husband to be!
We set up a polaroid station with a display of photos of our parents’ weddings to evoke another part of history. Guests took their own photos and added it to the display, which acted as a guest book.
We also worked in our favors with a campfire at the end of the night. Everyone received a s’more goody box to make a treat as the night came to a close.
Any advice for those planning now? The personal touches are what make a wedding special. Take every opportunity you have to customize your wedding to reflect who you are as a couple – those are the things that your guests will remember. Also, work with people who you feel 100% comfortable with. In the end, they’re the ones who make the night go smoothly.

gorgeous! i love her dress and the chandelier definitely adds the glam factor.
Beautiful wedding and fantastic work by Jonas. Very easy on the eyes :-)
So many great details…from the skeleton keys to the bakers twine tied around the invites to the chandeliers…love it!
I am really loving those long, family style banquet tables. It’s warm, friendly, and yet evokes such classic elegance at the same time. If I could do my wedding over, I’d do it just like this!
Love the vintage keys here. Just did a blog post about them today! Great post Jen!
beautiful wedding, beautiful photos.
gorgeous barn setting!
amazing photography skills!
i am in LOVE with the groom’s bowtie! such a classy wedding.
love this real wedding. beautiful details. stunning presentation. beautiful couple.
Very beautiful. You don’t often see a glam-rustic wedding. Looks amazing.
I adore how they’ve gone from rustic and outdoors styling to a more formal yet warm reception. Who would’ve thought that chandeliers would work so well in barns but they look TERRIFIC!
Amazing barn wedding. Love the invites and the vintage keys!
While there’s no water at this wedding that I can see other than what might be in a few glasses, this is a beautiful setting, beautifully styled. Wish I could’a been there. The barn is quintessential.
Bride, your dress is the prettiest. And now I’m really looking forward to feeling the rose petals beneath my feet as I walk to my future husband’s side.
SO beautiful & photos are amazing! :) So happy for you two!
Gorgeous wedding!! Where do you find the lights like those hanging in front of the barn? I’m having a wedding in my Aunt and Uncle’s barn in October and would love to find similar lights. Thanks!
Perfect wedding! Perfect pictures and perfect couple~
Definitely one of the best weddings I’ve seen. Never thought setting up something like this was possible. Glamorous wedding with a touch of nature
I would have never thought of combining such absolute glamour and a barn setting! But it works magically! I am obsessed with the chandeliers and long tables.
Absolutely gorgeous. I love all the rustic touches.
Lovely wedding. There’s nothing like starting life together in a barn. Wonderful!
The chandelier is just perfect up there. Her dress is beautiful!
You portray this wedding beautifully well!
