Northern California Backyard Wedding: Nury + Aaron

Today I have a super sweet, homespun wedding from Nury + Aaron who got married at Point Lobos Ridge in a private home in Carmel. I love that Nury used GWS for her wedding planning and really wanted her wedding to be about them. She wanted their wedding to have a “viking” feel, so she collected little viking figurines from etsy and made the cake topper herself which is she + Aaron sailing away in a viking boat! How cute! The day was designed + planned by the super talented ladies of Bash, Please who helped bring the Nordic inspiration to life with their paper goods + florals with a feminine, but outdoorsy/wild feel. Gorgeous photos by Jeff Newsom and the night ended with the most amazing sky in Carmel – which Jeff managed to captured, wait until you see it! Congrats to Nury + Aaron!

The beautiful chuppah was constructed by Aaron and his step-father with Korean fabric purchased by Nury in Seoul. Nury walked down the aisle to “Such Great Heights.

Their wedding favors were crocheted corsages + bouts made by the mother of bride and chocolate-dipped oreos made by the mother of groom.

  21. As one privileged enough to attend this wedding (sister-in-law and part of the bridal party) – these pictures and this article is RIGHT ON – Aaron & Nury’s wedding was SPECTACULAR…from the location, to the food, to all the details THEY did themselves, like the gift bags and the boutinieres, Nury making our bridesmaid presents in the form of hand-made necklaces and earrings that we all wore…IT WAS ONE OF A KIND AND ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! did I mention how FUN IT WAS? and the DJ was the best I’ve heard…LOVE YOU BOTH!

  22. Can anyone tell me what the green flowers (8th row down) are called? (not the succulents! Thanks:)
