I love the bright colors Lulu + Billy choose for their modern wedding at the Smog Shoppe in Culver City. And Lulu’s bright pink Christian Louboutin heels? So fun. I also love the collection of mismatched J Crew bridesmaids dresses she picked for her girls. Thanks to Kelly at Kelly Melissa Photography for sending me this fun wedding!
From Kelly, As a photographer, the best thing I can ever hope for in a wedding is that the couple will step out of the “cookie cutter” wedding box, and completely personalize their wedding to make it very THEM. And, oh boy, was this wedding VERY Lauren & Billy. All of the details were executed perfectly.
Lulu was sweet enough to send some thoughts from the day also.
Favorite Memory of the Day: How unbelievably happy we were. It was so amazing how every detail of our wedding actually came to life. Every aspect of our wedding, from the guest, food, flowers,to the amazing people working, was perfect…There was one time I was sipping champagne before the ceremony started watching on the big screen and listening to the Marie Antoinette Soundtrack and movie playing…at that moment I knew everything was right, that I needed to remember this moment, it was perfect. …if they say perfection doesn’t exist, not on this day!
Any advice for those planning now? Listen to your heart. Be creative and think outside of the box. Stay true to yourself. Make sure every detail of your wedding represents the two of you, because it really is about you. And make sure to have the best time ever!
Thanks so much Lulu + Billy for sharing your day with us!

Love the maid's dresses, not matching but complimentary. The SmogShoppe seems to be a hot spot in LA, I have seen several very unique, personal, and creative weddings on the blogs that were held there.
love love LOVE! this is one of my fave socal venues. the bride and groom could show up in matching potato sacks and they'd still look BALLER because the venue is just that cool. love all the colorful details – especially the bmaid's dresses. faboooosh!

On the rack I wasn't sure about the dress, but the image with the dresses on, surrounding the bride, they all came together beautifully. Well done.

Does anyone know where they bought/hired the suits from? My fiance would love to have brown suits and these are fantastic!
wow. i adore all those dresses!
Love the oversized initials on the table. Does anyone know where they got them?
Alli: I'll check on the suits and get back to you!
Barb: They got the letters at Anthropologie :)
Suits are from Friar Tux…who would have guessed? And the Oversized Letters are from Anthropologie. I can give all the juicy details if you need them by e-mailing me directly to [email protected]. Seriously one of the best weddings I have ever got to work with. Really creative and different.
oh yeah! Kelly Melissa is the best photographer ever too!!! Thanks Kelly!

I love the bride's colorful flower bouquet and her lovely wedding dress. The bride's pink shoes are awesome and fabulous.Way to go!!!
Does anyone happen to know where her dress is from? I know it’s been a while, but I love her dress!
HI Leigha! It’s lulu, my dress is Angel Sanchez…got it at Saks! It was the first dress I tried on!!!
From where are the bridesmaids dresses? Adore them!! Beautiful details in your wedding!
i have been using the picture of the bridesmaids dresses as my inspiration but have been coming up empty handed finding the right ones. All are too casual or the wrong colours. If you have any suggestions or could tell me where these ones were found that would be very helpful!! thank you! :)
