Happy Tuesday everyone! Hope you all had a great long weekend. I have a lovely rustic wedding to share with you all today. Jamie, the bride, went to town on all the details and did all of the design entirely herself. I love all the thought + love they put into their day…
Inspiration behind the day: When planning we knew we wanted something more relaxed and fun that would show our personalities and who we are. We love being outdoors and wanted that to also be a big part of it. When deciding on a theme we had lots of different ideas. We first decided on incorporating pieces of wood and lots of detail… anything from the ceremony programs to the cup cake stands. From there we started collecting old mason jars or anything that looked vintage and rustic to make different center pieces. Then just by getting lace and twine you can really get creative.
How adorable is this book the ring bear carried with their rings??! Love it.
Love the ladders that they hung the place cards on.
Most memorable moment of the day? I really would say the whole day! From the much time spent on every little detail in hoping everything would be just the way I imagined it, to making sure everyone had great time in helping us celebrate. It was more then I could ever have imagined. Then at the end of the night seeing everyone together on the dance floor with us made an amazing new beginning of being husband and wife.
Also I would say walking down the aisle and seeing the love of my life waiting for me, while my dad walked me down. Being an only child it was very emotional but such an amazing feeling! No words can ever describe how perfect that whole day was. : )
Any advice for planning now? I started early so you get lots of things done and you are not stressed out as much the week of. Also just have fun with everything, DIY decor is a great way to get everyone together and help.
Everyone says it goes by so fast, but if you just take a moment to look around at everyone and everything. It’s the greatest feeling knowing you have friends and family who love and support you, while the love of your life is standing right next to you. : )

Love this wedding! And the flower in the bride’s hair!!! Where is this from?!!!
I just love the birds on the cake…so sweet.
I am Jamie’s boss at T’eez Salon We love Jamie and know all too well how determined and successful she can be. We watched all year as she organized and worked on little projects, cutting this and that out and gluing and folding, collecting and assembling. We knew she was putting all of this together for the wedding but no one knew how it would all come together. Until wedding day. All the stylists and myself attended the wedding and reception. If any of our city slicker stylists had reservations as to how this “rustic wedding” would turn out, I can tell you to a person, we were all blown away. It was beyond cute or quaint. It was perfectly beautiful and so uniquely Jamie. If you missed this wedding, you missed something genuinely extraordinary.
She never ceases to amaze me and we are so blessed to work with her and call her our friend. Congrats Jamie and Jeremy.
Thank you so guys so much, everything turned out perfect! I got the flower in my hair from Etsy.com – her profile is ‘Satanica’ she was so great to work with!
OMG I love that dress!! It is absolutely breathtaking… I looked at the Cymbeline website, but not sure which one it is? Help, please???
What an adorable wedding! Love the escort cards! And the flower in her hair looks gorgeous!!

Hi Jamie! I love the book that the ring bearer carried! Would you mind letting us know where you got that or how you made it? Gorgeous, gorgeous wedding.
GORGEOUS! The confetti, the typewriter, the ladders- love it all!!
Jaime this wedding is amazing, 4 months ago I started planning my wedding with this exact idea in my mind, since then its been one crazy diy mess after the other. We are getting married at a summer camp for kids in Maine in Sept 2011. If all my diy efforts and months and months of collecting produce a wedding that looks/feels half as amazing as yours I’ll be happy. If your willing to part and sell some of your fantastic finds please send me an e-mail at [email protected]
WOW, awesome photos. I really love the tones. What lens did you use?
Thank you for the kind words! For most of the shots above, we used the 35mm 1.4 L and the 50mm 1.2 L

I love everything about this wedding! Amazing unique details!
Oh… You guys made me miss my own wedding so much!! I guess every ex bride wonders when she is going to look that amazing again… Beautiful!
Thank you :)
Melissa my dress is Cymbeline aladin with a few alterations on involved. Also to Cat- I found an old book and took 1/3 of it -punched circles and glued the outside of pages together. Then took scrap booking paper to cover the outsides of the glue section. For the cover – I bought faboric I liked and ironed on the print with t-shirt iron on paper then just used spray on glue to adhere it to the book. :) I hope this helps a little. If you have any more questions feel free to ask! — also it helped to glue a cream colored felt sheet cut to fit the front and back to give it a softer feel:)
Hello!
I (too) love your ring book… I’d like to do a similar cover (recover) for my guestbook- did you use a design template? It’s perfectly done… I’d love to use the same tree image. This feels so random to ask a complete stranger- your epic wedding has pictures being circulated on Pinterest wedding boards. Well done!
Thank you for your time :)
i love this wedding! all the diy is wonderful.
Wow, I was thinking you bought a custom book on Etsy. I am so impressed that you did it all yourself! I’d love to try and make something like this for my guest book. Did you make or buy the iron-on patch that you used? It almost looks like letter press. Very cool.
I loved everything about this wedding! Everything came out great and was so creative! I absolutely adored the wood/steel card box. Jamie, would you mind telling me where you got it or if you would be willing to sell it? Thank you.
Heey Jamie! Congrats on your marriage & an absolutely beautiful wedding! I LOVE the way you wore your hair and your hair piece! I was the one who contacted you about where you got the hair piece and have contacted Satanica on Etsy! I am contemplating on whether to wear a veil or birdcage veil, or not one at all? I saw one picture with a birdcage veil – did you wear one for the ceremony? Did you get it from her? And do you have any more pictures of the front of it?
My email is [email protected] and I would LOVE some more pictures of it if you would be so kind! Also – if you are trying to sell anything from your wedding I am having a similar one in June! Thanks! :)
aww i love the DIY details. makes the wedding so much more personal. i love the birdie cake toppers!
I ended up buying the iron-on blank sheets of paper and then printing the design on them, though a regular printer. I then tryed to cut as close as I could to the design. :)
— I also dont have anything to sell, I am sorry.
Thank you :)
