And onto the reception! Love this photo below :) And if you missed part 1, you can see that here.
A fun design element that came into play throughout the celebration was cats in all forms. The floral stylists at Hollyflora created an incredible succulent cat (perched atop a cigar box, as a nod to the groom’s love of fine cigars) to stand guard over a veritable army of
hundreds of ceramic cats. Holly and her bridesmaids dressed each cat up in a festive paper bowtie and asked guests to “adopt a kitty” to take home as a cheeky favor that pointed to the bride’s adoration for cats. Hollyflora also found ways to incorporate little
cat statues and figurines in the tablescapes. As a self-proclaimed “cat lady,” Holly can’t get enough of her feline friends.
I’ve never seen a cake with vintage brooches on it! Love how unique that is.
Love the idea of a late night snack of milk + cookies! And something about these two bottom photos just makes me smile..congrats you two!!!
Holly, favorite moments of the day? Towards the end of the night when I was tired from dancing, I grabbed my dad and some water and we sat one of the couches and watched the guests enjoying the wedding. It felt so good to relax and take in the party as if I were a guest.
I loved that my ring was passed down from Ryan’s paternal grandmother to Ryan’s mom and then to me. And that my dress was first my maternal grandmothers and then my mothers and then transformed into mine. I also had a handkerchief from Ryan’s maternal grandma and a blue brooch from my paternal grandma. Sentimental things that are so important.
Another favorite moment was when I saw my grandma at the wedding. She had fallen and hit her head only a month before. She went from healthy and vibrant to comatose. We didn’t know if she was going to be ok. But she is such and amazingly strong woman. She recovered in record time just so she could be there on my day.
Sometimes it seams like the only wedding things out there are what everyone else is doing but don’t give up, you can find the special things to make your wedding uniquely you! Only you can make yourself stressed out so just sit back and relax and enjoy what ever comes.

love the cookies and milk idea! love all her dresses too!
So cute! The cookies and milk is an adorable touch as well.
What fun!!! I absolutely love this concept. Not only did they get the bright, fun atmosphere, but they really look like they’re all having a blast together. Well done! The cake, milk & cookies, the sparklers…absolutely amazing. I did want to ask, what did they do about seating? Were there tables, or was it more relaxed? Did they use any sort of wedding seating chart template like this one to plan things out? Or by the looks of it, was it more casual and there were no assigned seats? Just curious, as this is something I’m struggling with now, starting to plan my seating out. Thanks for sharing!!
