Real Wedding: Brooke + Manny’s Mississippi Blues’ Wedding

I’m super excitied to share this gorgeous wedding today with you guys! Photographed by Clayton Austin, he always  manages to capture the day like no one else. Brooke + Manny were married in Mississippi and were inspired by the resilience of the human spirit in the Mississippi Delta and the music of the Blues – and their wedding location is like none other! They were married at the The Shack Up Inn in Mississippi. Congrats to Brooke + Manny!

Most memorable moment of your wedding day? Walking down the aisle to the accapella group’s rendition of Etta James’ “At Last.” I felt like I was dreaming.

Any advice for those planning now? Get legally married before your wedding. It reduces stress and allows you to focus on the celebration itself. Also, hand pick your guests and keep the list limited. I loved our intimate setting and our, small (50 people) group of VIPs. And just have to add that Clayton is the best wedding photographer ever! Vendors Venue: The Shack Up Inn, Clarksdale, MS Photographer: Clayton Austin Wedding Dress: Diva by Design (online shop, creates 1930s reproduction gowns), and my fantastic tailor, Best Bridal in Chantilly, VA Bridesmaid Dress: Each girl picked their own dress and headpiece. My only instruction was the color. Hairpieces: My hairpiece was custom made by Presumptuous Me Groom Suit: Santee Suits, Los Angeles, CA Event Design, Florals + Planning: Southern Event Planners, Memphis, TN Invitations/Paper Goods: The Blu Sash (run by Donia Simmons in Lexington, KY) Catering: Cindy Krag Catering, Collierville, TN Music: Don Harringon on Viola (Fairfax, VA), Reco Hight Acappella Singers (Franklin, TN), Terry “Harmonica” Bean and Blues Band (Pontotoc, MS)
