Today’s gorgeous wedding was sent to me by photographer Taryn Kent . I love the intimate feeling of this wedding and the gorgeous vintage-inspired dress the bride is wearing. The wedding took place in Eagle Rock, CA (part of Los Angeles). From Taryn, “What I loved so much about this wedding was that I felt it really centered on the bride and groom’s love for each other and having their family and friends there to celebrate this love. It had a really simple and laid back vibe, but it was obvious how well put together all the adorable details were.
We started the day at Bronwen’s & Matthew’s quaint vintage-style home in eagle rock where the girls were getting ready. When I got there the first thing I saw was Bronwen’s gorgeous dress and I knew the day was going to be incredible. Bronwen dress is by Priscilla of Boston, Melissa Sweet Reverie collection (dress name was Vienna). Her shoes are Seychelles and the veil/headpiece is by Tessa Kim on Etsy. Her purse was from a friend’s grandmother. Matthew’s suit is Versace, purchased at Nordstrom. Invitations below were designed by Bronwen’s brother and printed at – gotprint.com
How cute is that?? (above – although I love the first look below also)
The ceremony site – Women’s Twentieth Century Club of Eagle Rock – felt like someone’s private backyard, surrounded by big beautiful autumn colored trees. Some of the best moments were when Bronwen & Matthew’s two dogs, fosse and snoop, walked down the aisle (snoop even wore a tie!) and when Bronwen walked down the aisle to an unforgettable rock guitar/drum solo. It was amazing to see the couple’s personality and style completely shine through in every aspect of the day. The Maid of Honor’s dress is from Anthropologie and shoes are Seychelles. Her jewelry is Lenora Dane/Anthropologie.
Thumb Tree/Guestbook was put together by Bronwen’s brother. Love that this idea by the way! Ceremony Paper Flower Garlands and bird cutouts done by Bronwen with help from her family.
They had a band – Jessica Fichot – and DJ – The Flashdance.

This wedding is so stylish and so sweet. Lovely details!
I have never (since my first days of doodling fantasy wedding dresses in the margins of my notebook in middle school) known what I wanted for a wedding dress. I always knew I didn't want a strapless dress but beyond that, I had no idea.
And then I saw Bronwen's dress. My heart almost jumped out of my chest — the dress is stunning and she is stunning in it!
And, oh! those thumbprints! The idea of creating this network of leaves in which your marriage will continue to grow and blossom… Simply wonderful.
Congratulations on your wedding, Matthew and Bronwen!
I've been looking for stamp pads just like that? Anyone know where I can find them?
The details to this wedding are amazing. The stationery especially is really unique and fun, I love it! Congrats to the happy couple.
I'm always on the hunt of interesting guest book ideas and I just love this one! Framing this will make it a great treasure from the wedding and something everyone will enjoy seeing in your home. Bravo!
What a beautiful wedding and beautiful photos!
The florals here are so elegant. Something about them feels different and unique… and the guest book is simply charming!

See, this bride is such a good example of why we don't all have to wear strapless gowns. I LOVE her sleeves! (And her hair. And her shoes. And her wedding.)

LOVE the wedding tree idea. What a great piece of art to be able to display in your home after the wedding!
Wow, I just found your blog and it's completely amazing. I love all the inspirational pics. I am about to start planning mine and my fiances wedding and now because of you I have plenty of ideas. Just one question though, when do people have time to do all the decorations?! We are gonna rent a restaurant with a beautiful garden but only for that day. We cannot be there the day before I guess, since they are then open to other guests. So how do people do? Have their family to decorate?
I'm gonna be busy doing hair and mak up on the actual wedding day. Please explain to me :)
Oh how I adore the bride's dress! So so so chic!
What an elegant simple wedding…a perfect example of "Less is More"! The retro photography really brought the vintage to life. Have to say the dogs were a fun idea too!
i can't stop looking at this wedding! i especially love the flowers
I love the photo with the groom and the dog. I find it so sweet to let the pets to get involved to his special day.
what kind of flowers are those purple flowers? they are so gorgeous!
The bride's vintage inspired wedding dress and hairpiece is fabulous.
The photos are quite remarkable. I love the shot of the couple kissing on the dancefloor, simply sweet and romantic. An expression of beautiful, and endless love…timeless!!!
What a beautiful post! Thank you so much for such an inspiring blog! If only we could all have a wedding every year. :) What amazing photography and so detail oriented. Makes life so happy!
Love, LOVE the guest tree! And the hanging flowers/birds. Beautiful wedding.
beautiful, really love the guest tree and the decorations!
What a beautiful wedding! Unconventional, but very nice in an indie/retro kind of way.
I especially love their invitations. I'm thinking of going with something like that because I got clear address labels from Bachcroft.com and they can go with anything.
Thanks for the post!
A friend of mine who is engaged and searching for wedding ideas sent me this link — my boyfriend happens to be in the wedding band! He said it was a fabulous wedding and that he loved how incredibly "chill" it was. (Brides-to-be, take note: guys want simple.)
And being an Eagle Rock resident, many props for keeping the Eastside vibe present through the whole wedding. Eagle Rock Rocks :-)
Jenny- to help set up the day of the wedding, I would highly recommend a wedding coordinator to do this. You could even just hire a day of coordinator. That is actually what I did. We only had 2 hours to set everything up at our venue, so I hired 2 coordinators to put up all the decor. I also didn't want my family to have to do this since I wanted them to spend the morning getting ready and relaxing – not working. Good luck!
Wow – I love that thumbprint guest book idea!
xoxo
Oh my gorgeousness. While I definitely had a dream wedding, I am green with envy over some of the amazing details in this one. Stunning!
Definitely a beautiful wedding. Those bouquets! Luscious! Love the feel of everything.
Oh, such a gorgeous, unique wedding! I so adore the thumbprint guest book and the bird garland. The cake toppers are super cute, too. Beautiful pics!
I love this wedding & all of the wonderful handmade details! I'm recently engaged and living in NE LA. We are searching for inexpensive ways to throw a beautiful and unique wedding in our area–Eagle Rock is nearby and one of our favorite spots in LA. Would you mind telling me where the reception portion of the wedding was held? Thanks in advance!
The stamp pads are made by Tsukineko and are called "dew drop" – you can find them on amazon, ebay and overstock. I think for the leaves here they used the four pack called "Greenhouse".
