Memorial Day Weekend marks the start of summer and with the start of summer comes the summer Issue of Martha Stewart Weddings – on newsstands today! Today we are sharing a small sneak at one of the fun weddings from the issue. Captured by Chris and Sarah Rhoads, this wedding is all fun + games! Vanessa and Calvin thought of every way to get their guests in a playful mood at their weekend-long gathering at the Dawn Ranch Lodge in Guerneville, California. With witty wording, a punchy palette, and lots of interactive activities (crosswords, wordfinds, cards) it just oozes with fun. :)
Love this surprise! Vanessa + Calvin’s guests wanted to do something special to surprise them, so a friend rounded up a dozen people to “score” the first kiss. When the couple turned to face the crowd after their kiss, signs proclaiming “10″ or “9.5″ shot up!
In lieu of signing a guest book, partygoers circled their names in a giant word search made by the bride’s brother (also a graphic designer) and mounted on an easel. All the other fun printed elements were designed by Jack & Ginger.
