Palm Springs Boho Shoot Where Beads are the New Macrame

Bougainvillea Palm Springs Inspired Shoot

We’ve got a colorful, California-dreamy treat for you guys today! First up, this spunky + bright Palm Springs styled shoot from the creative minds at Love by Lynzie Events + Design. And later today…are you a wedding artist and wondering how to put together your own styled shoot? Or maybe you’re just curious about what really happens behind the scenes when a bunch of vendors come together? We’re thrilled to have Lynzie herself on GWS to give us an exclusive look at how this shoot came together – plus a few tips you’ll definitely want to Pin for later.

That’s coming up next! But for now, let’s get inspired for summer, shall we?!

Here’s how Lynzie and team approached the day: A small group of Toronto event vendors dreamed of flying to Palm Springs to shoot in the dessert and with flora and fauna that is totally unavailable to us here in the Great White North. We were dying for cacti, palm trees, sweeping dusty landscapes and that perfect California Sun. We teamed up with some local vendors to create our version of colourful magic. We were extremely inspired by the local, vibrant bougainvillea and knew we wanted it to play a big role in the shoot. We were also looking for a new alternative to macrame and decided that a fresh take on wooden beaded curtains were a must. Our bride needed to be bohemian and soft, yet daring enough to rock a bouquet filled with saturated hues and edgy jewels.

Braedon Flynn was on hand to capture all the pretty, pretty details! Let’s have a look:

Pigment and Parchment created the super-fun invitation suite to set the tone for the day! Already loving the hand-painted bougainvillea and breezy tones!

The dining + lounge space is a splash of sunny California with a hint of Moroccan vibes. Archive Rentals brought in the furniture and table top rentals and La Tavola Linen provided the bright linens.

Let’s talk about her dreamy look for a second! Toronto boutique, Ferre Sposa, provided the lovely gowns for the day which were styled by Jennifer Dang. Her fresh look was created by make up artist, Sarah Smith.

Lynzie told us: My favourite thing about the shoot was how we brought together a like minded team from different corners of North America. We melded our styles seamlessly and worked together to create a portfolio piece that could attract local brides for our Cali vendors, and expand the minds of our local brides up here in Canada.
