Neon Meets Classic in this Spring Inspiration from Russia

Spring is just on the horizon and with it pops of color, sunny mornings, and a fresh wave of inspiration. This shoot comes to us from Moscow, where spring takes on a bold new look with the combination of neon and nude! We LOVE the creativity that’s bursting from the stunning photos and if you thought neon orange or green could never work for a wedding…well, you may just want to keep an open mind.

Inna from SPECIAL DAY put her design talents on display, pulling from her own inspiration to match the tenderness of spring with daring color: Pinks, blues, and other pastel tones seemed rather boring and didn’t fit my mood for spring. What I wanted to show was the awakening: a splash of the spring energy, young juicy greens and bright sun. I wanted to show something a little bold and stylish within a classical frame without being dull. And so, our spring color palette was born: a neon orange and fresh lime-green on a nude colored background, complimented with golden sun accents.

Created during a special workshop with photographer, Max Koliberdin, the team gathered at Moscow’s 19th century St. Andrew’s Anglican Church for the bold, unique shoot:

SUPER COOL, right? Ponch is the creative force behind the calligraphy and paper design.

The mono-bouquet was made up of airy lathyrus, or sweet peas, tied together with a bright orange ribbon by Anna Runge design. The groom’s style was simple and classic: a flawlessly fitted black tuxedo, a white buttoned shirt with cufflinks, and a black bowtie.

Inna elaborated on the bride’s stunning look: When developing the overall style of the bride, we based it on the neutral and tender spring colors. The magnificent dress from Cathy Telle‘s new collection was designed specifically for us in the nude color, and it was called on to create an airy, light image that almost merged with the color of our model’s skin. The accent was left to the face via the bright orange-green make-up and a green veil over Anja’s ginger-colored hair.

Oooooh that pop of green on her lids! Victoria Shnayder created a classic yet daring look for the gorgeous bride. We’re totally loving it!

The round tables and floor-length nude linens provided a classic background for the blooming arrangements and modern flatware.
