Natural History Museum Wedding: Jen + Eric

natural history museum wedding

It’s hard to imagine a more amazing backdrop for a wedding reception than LA’s very own Natural History Museum! Jen + Eric took advantage of the setting with a big, fun celebration full of incredible details + meaningful moments. I love how they were able to bring bits of the environment into the tablescapes in the form of nature-filled shadowboxes, dinosaur figurines + awesome found objects! And the textural, overgrown florals by Primary Petals are so crazy pretty! Here’s a bit more from the lovely bride:

We knew in order to enjoy our day fully, we had to make it a 2 day affair! We had our ceremony on a Thursday at the Wayfarers Chapel in Palos Verdes with 50 of our closest friends and family, with a celebration dinner after. Friday was spent relaxing by the pool at Terranea. Saturday was the reception at The Natural History Museum in LA. It included about 170 people and was more of a cocktail party feel. I have been in a lot of weddings, so I had plenty of time and experience to figure out exactly what I wanted. We had a destination wedding feel in our own city! Eric’s family was coming in from Illinois and Ohio, so we didn’t want just 5 minutes to spend with them at a reception. We basically got an entire weekend with family and friends. From the Converse groom’s cake, to Neon Nation – our AMAZING 80’s band, the whole weekend was SO us.

Thank you to Victor Sizemore for the gorgeous images + Kristeen LaBrot Events for the beautiful event design. And big congrats to the happy couple – we wish you all the best!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

We locked a big padlock during our ceremony and threw the key into the water at our favorite beach in Antigua during our Honeymoon. It was so cool. Just the sun coming into Wayfarers Chapel during our dusk time ceremony was magical, and the perfect setting to marry the coolest guy ever!

I’m always a fan of bridesmaid’s picking their own dresses + these ladies did a fab job! Such a chic looking bridal party!
