Movember: the month when moustaches start suddenly appearing on some of our loved ones – but all for a good cause, right?! I’ve always thought Movember was such a fun month, so when this perfectly styled elopement popped in my inbox, I just had to share with you all! The inspiration behind this fun shoot (styled by Rook & Rose Floral Design Boutique and photographed by Studio 1079) is to showcase how perfectly styled a simple elopement can be. All the details of a lovely large wedding were included (dessert bar, whisky bar, wedding cake, beautiful invitations and tons of flowers) but without the stress of a large reception hall, dress fittings, and catering for dozens of people.
I love that the team illustrates perfectly that with a super-small number of guests you can consider unexpected details, such as an unconventional reception space. Maybe somewhere sentimental – like the location of your first date, local coffee shop, favorite book store, or in this case, a beautiful barber shop! To authentically create the spontaneous feeling of an elopement, everything for this shoot was planned and put together in just 5 days! All the products and decor were sourced from local neighbourhood vendors, who supplied easy, seasonal, and ready-to-wear pieces. Hope this not only makes you smile today, but shares how easy + beautiful an elopement can be!
