This weekend one of my most anticipated movies of the year comes out, Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom! I actually have a wedding to go to this weekend (yay!!), so I probably won’t get to see it until next week, but so looking forward to it! If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, totally check it. The film is about a pair of kids in the 1960’s who fall in love and run away together with all in the iconic + quirky Wes Anderson fashion.
Well, Christy of The Gown Swap is also pretty excited about the film! Inspired by the trailer, she came up with the idea of a couple eloping in an old fashion Bronco to a comfy tent in the middle of a wildflower meadow. I love how Kristina of Jar of Buttons incorporated lots of details + styling from the film and thanks to Meghan Christine Photography for the capturing the fun concept!
How adorable are the “We Eloped” invites from Christy of One Handspun Day!
Any other Wes Anderson fans out there excited for this one? Totally makes me want to run away with my sweetie. :)

Neat concept. Don’t know anything about the movie, but has a “Into the Wild” feel to it. Also, another beautiful design on the invitations by OneHandspun Day.
Thank you so much for featuring us Jen! We had such a blast putting the shoot together. Can’t wait to see the movie!
I’m dying to see this movie! Wes Anderson is a bonafide genius, and this shoot portrayed that quirky style so well!
It was SO fun designing the elopement announcements for this concept and Christy did an incredible job pulling together a talented team of vendors to bring it to life :) Thank you so much for featuring this shoot Jen!!
This is SO cute!!! I’ve never even heard of this movie/writer/etc., but this shoot is adorable. LOVE the shot of them walking away with their luggage poles :).
