Missouri Handmade Wedding: Amy + Christopher

bride and groom

We all fell in love with Amy + Christopher’s backyard proposal, so I’m excited to share their sweet wedding today! Captured by The Parsons, their wedding is such a celebration of their story – made of the places and people that matter the most to them. Their first look in their backyard, photographs in their house and then gathering around a long table for dinner with our friends and family made the day so special for them.

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Our day was beautiful from beginning to end but we'd have to say the most magical moments for us were the first look in the backyard just as the sun peeked out of the rainclouds ... and our ceremony, speaking vows to each other and praying together forehead to forehead.

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

We relished (and would recommend!) keeping the day simple and intimate. The day didn't rush by, but instead we were able to enjoy every minute of its meaning and joy. Also, carve out unhurried time to just be together with your photographer...those moments will probably be some of your favorite photographs of the day.
