Looking for a fun way to add a splash of color to an event and/or make a serious statement with décor? Always, right?! We here at GWS believe that with a little bit of creativity, teamwork, and a vision — you can transform any space into a masterpiece (and on a budget!). Perfect for an elopement reception party, bridal shower, wedding backdrop, birthday party, or pretty much any other kind of event, we’re keen on this colorful balloon installation!
The brainchild of event designer HTNO & Co., along with some amazing vendor pals and members of the New Orleans creative community, this vibrant + colorful inspiration took place at the Catahoula Hotel. HTNO & Co. created a large scale balloon installation (20 ft long) as the background to a colorful, simple and very pretty table setting, which was captured in all its glory by photographer Trevor Mark.
And… It just so happens, that we crafted this DIY Floral Balloon Arch to give you all the details on how to create your own balloon installation!
To play off the tropical vibes of the day, New Orleans-based letterpress studio and stationery design house, Scriptura, created the darling invitations and menus.
Hily of HTNO & Co. shares: We have been DYING to amp up a celebration with balloons and are very happy with the modern and impactful POP our installation creates! Along with the balloons, we also created a tropical floral window installation in place of a centerpiece.
Glammin’ it up with a bit of gold and pops of pink, the table was styled with pieces from Pure Vintage Rentals.
Balloons can SERIOUSLY transform a space in a big way! We love the use of different sizes to create more interest and a bit of texture to the overall arch. Can you imagine how cool this would be in an array of different colors?
To finish off the day, Averell Ellis designed this dainty cake, topped with gold painted white chocolate!
So, if you’re looking for a relatively inexpensive way to transform a room — we definitely think the addition of a balloon arch is such a fun one! Make sure to pop on over to our DIY Floral Balloon Arch for inspiration + details on how to achieve the look… And as a reminder, the options are limitless! You could incorporate florals and tropical leaves (as seen in our DIY), ribbons and sheer fabric to create an ethereal and dreamy look, glitter, and more!
